  1. Thinking of going to Lake Sunapee tomorrow for the day? How has it been lately? I haven't been there in years. Was going to use the State launch as I'm coming from Milford. Any tips? Thanks.
  2. I've caught a few pike in Franklin Pierce Lake this year. They were put in there in '92, seem to be doing ok.
  3. I've read/heard that it's probably Maine's best Bass fishery. Co-Worker rented a cabin on the water and I'll be up there for a few days with him. Just curious how it is up there.
  4. Heading up there in a few days. Anyone fished it lately? How are things up there? Any specific color/bait working well at the moment? Thanks in advance!
  5. Nice video Wagn! Good to see the kids getting into fishing! Nice fish!
  6. Went to Harrisville Pond yesterday, fishing was great! 21 fish in about 4hrs. Two 6lbr's a 5lb and a 4lb Bucket, rest were smaller fish. I hadn't fished there before, but I will certainly go back. Jaystraw, how was Franklin Pierce? Did quite well there last year.
  7. Nice catch Shane! We gotta get out again soon! Had a pretty good fishing weekend myself. Thurs I fished Silver Lake in Harrisville, nice lake, CRYSTAL clear and mostly fished by Trout fisherman it appears. Smallies were spawning, so I absolutely hammered them! Ended up with 41 in about 4hrs time, all small, biggest one was 3lbs. Still fun though! I'll go back in a few weeks and see what it's like then. Friday I fished Jenness Pond for a few hours, post cold front and post spawn, fishing was slow only managed 4 fish, biggest was 5lb Bucket. Sat morning I fished Bow Lake, slow start, but once I figured out the pattern it was on! 16 fish in about 6hrs time, biggest was 4lb Bucket, also the only one of the day for the boat. All other fish were Smallies, some late spawners and the rest were post spawners. I'd go back about later this summer. Overall a pretty good weekend!
  8. Had a pretty good past few days. Weather has been pretty decent, so that helps. Spawning like mad out there folks! Yesterday I went to Thorndike Pond and absolutely killed the Smallies in there! Most were on beds, some just finished and cruising the shallows looking for something tasty to eat. Spend 8hrs on the water and caught 24 Smallies, smallest being 2lbs. It was awesome. Today I went to Gilmore Pond, hadn't been there before, definitely Trout waters that happens to hold Bass. Lucky for me. On beds again and it was like shooting fish in a barrel. Biggest was 5lb. After I fished there I went to Cunningham Pond. Same goes for this place. Some fish on beds, some cruising shallows. Hammered them here as well. A few 4lbs, a 5lb and a 7lb ended my day. Looking forward to this weekend with this nice weather and not a lot of wind! Get out there while you can!

  10. Biggest Smallie I caught was 3.5lbs, nothing huge. But it was raining/55deg out. I would suspect that there are some nice fish in there. While I was there Marine Patrol launched and parked towards the left, if your looking at the launch. Enough room for his rig, you should be fine as well. Just have to watch when your backing in and out as there isn't much distance from the road to the launch. A nice place overall and I will certainly be going back soon.
  11. Got out on Skatatukee Lake today, weather wasn't the greatest but the fishing was pretty good. I had never been there before, it's a nice spot. Water was 55° and Smallies were on beds. Those were easy pickings. Rest seemed to be pre-spawning with fat bellies cruising flats. Caught all fish on crankbaits or a jig on the beds. I will definitly go back.
  12. With all the views and no response, it shows me it's not a poular boat. What about a 2003 Triton VT17 Magnum II? I've found one with a 2003 Mercury four stroke EFI 115 with supposedly only 10hrs on the motor. Anyone know if this is the padded hull Triton? Opinions on the motor? I've read that these are just Yamaha power blocks with Mercury lower units? Four stroke more maintenance? I'm still debating on Fiberglass vs Aluminum. I don't fish really big waters up here, so I'm not convinced glass is right for me. Any help appreciated.
  13. I take it with nearly 100 views this isn't a very popular boat?
  14. I'm looking at purchasing a 2002 Starcraft Starcaster 1900 with a 2002 Mercury 125hp 2-stroke. I'm curious if anyone has any experience with these boats? I've looked on the Starcraft site and see that they no longer make this model of aluminum bass boat. It appears as though they don't even make a "bass" boat anymore, meaning a full front and back platform. Price is pretty good, he is asking $7800/BO, I just want to make sure that I'm not getting into something I don't want. Any help appreciated!
  15. Got out today on Cunningham Pond, I figured I would take advantage of the day while it was nice finally. Did quite well, 10 fish total. 6 Largemouth and 4 Smallies. Biggest was 4.12lb Smallie and a 5.02lb Largemouth. Caught all of them on jigs. Tried Cranks, Spinnerbait, Drop Shot and Top Water before I left and the only thing I could get a strike on was a jig. Saw some Smallies on beds, but not many. Water temp was 56deg.
  16. Went out yesterday on Cunningham Pond in Peterborough. Water is crazy clear! I mean you can make out objects on the bottom in 15ft+ water. Fishing was good. Caught 10 total, smallest was 2.5lbs. I did catch/see 4 Smallies on beds! Yes I said it! Beds! I couldn't believe it. Water was just over 60°. Went out this morning on Pleasant Pond in Francistown. Water is a bit colder still. Managed 4 fish total, biggest was just over 4lb. I am hoping this rain will bring water levels back to where they should be. Tight lines all!
  17. I got this same combo yesterday! Isn't that funny?! I went with the 7ft medium for throwing cranks, this thing has quite a backbone to it. Paired mine with 12lb XPS Fluro and a few squirts of KVD L&L. Going out shortly and will report back! I don't think you'll have any issues throwing deep cranks on that rig though. Enjoy!
  18. Going down to BPS today and getting the PQ and the Veritas real. Luckily the PQ's are on sale again. Not a bad combo for $180.
  19. Thanks, I appreciate it. I think that's what I'll go with then!
  20. I appreciate the response. Since I missed the sale at BPS on the Qualifiers, I don't think it matters at this point. Probably going to go with the Orra paired with a Varitas rod.
  21. In the market for a new rod/reel and narrowed it down to these two. I have always loved Abu stuff, but I've read so many good things on the BPS PQ that it intrigues me. Any suggestions? I'd like to stay at this price point.
  22. Ill have to check it out. Currently building a house right near there.
  23. Got out on Pleasant Pond in Francistown this morning, before the wind was to to bad. Slow day, water is still quite cold there. Ended up catching 4 total, 3 1-2lbs Smallies and one nice slab 5.4lb Bucket. Was throwing a crankbait in 8-12ft of water, parallel with the bank. Going to go out to Baboosic tomorrow before work, we'll see how it goes.
