  1. Where's Blackburn?
  2. Thanks for the tips.
  3. I love the catfish bait, it looks amazing. Great job
  4. Thanks for the input everyone! Guess I'll try some scents on my shallow crankbaits this weekend.
  5. I caught a lunker in February on a Chompers hula grub, Texas rigged. Slow and steady till these water temps warm up. I'm from Northern VA and the water temps are ALMOST ready for bass to spawn.
  6. 3/8 oz Cavitron red blade black body. Tore it up last season.
  7. Yeah, had the same problem! Welcome back-ish.
  8. Same here, can't go wrong with the baby brush hogs Texas rigged.
  9. I think I've seen that at Dicks Sporting Goods. I think they have a coffee flavor too. I'm going to go with the good ol' garlic smell. I am curious about the crawfish scents though, might be worth a try.
  10. Done.
  11. Here the water is about 45-55 degrees, only had luck on slow retrieves on Texas rigged creature baits. Chartreuse seems to be what they're eating.
  12. True, but my buddy swears by scents, even on faster moving baits. Just figured I'd give it a shot. Doesn't hurt to try right?
  13. Does anyone scent their crankbaits? My friend proposed adding peanut butter to them, but I'm thinking more of a spray or something less sticky, lol. Anyone got any brands or scents they can recommend?
  14. Hey everyone! I usually fish Mercer and Occuquan, as well as a few local ponds. I wanted to give Lake Royal a try this weekend. Anyone have any hotspots or tips for this location? On the map it looks like I can park near the townhouses and walk down. I'm a shore fisherman. I think it's still to cold/early for buzzing, so I was going to texas rig some worms or creature baits. Maybe even some jigging if I can find some deep water. Any tips for this location would be appreciated, or if any locals want to meet up to fish, that'd be fun
  15. Thanks everyone! Hopefully I can join a NOVA fishing club from here or find some shore anglers to fish with.
