  5. Hey Shane, can we sign the release form the morning of the event, or is that something we have to do beforehand?.
  6. Hey Shane, I will try to be there, just have to get the day off work. Went down there to check it out. Hope I can get one this big next Thurs. Just happend to catch my personal best messin around in the C-14 just a short ways away from the Park that your gonna be at.
  7. Yeah, Redfish are very rare in our area, I assume you are in S.Palm Beach County. I get them on the Juno Pier in August and Sept. like 1 or 2 of them a year. Usually right at or barely above kepper size 18". Neat to see them here.
  8. Hey Shane, This Kevin/Krzkev I was wondering why you didn't wait until it was a little bit warmer. Don't they bite much better in the warmer months? I havn't fished for them much since the water temp dropped, I havn't had as much luck. Up until Nov we were getting them up to 8 lbs and all the really big ones seem to find a way to get off every time. I am looking forward to seeing the show, its the second time you have had him out with ya, right? L8ter......
  9. Nice fish there guys. That tarpon is great, funny thing is me and a freind were out there fishing the same area when he caught that tarpon. We were talking with him about about it just a little while after he caught it. Small world.... huh I caught a nice 4lb LMB and we saw a bunch of those little tarpon rolling and feeding in front of the larger colverts with some flow.
  10. There is still an unbeleivable amount of mullet up north. I just spent the wweekend up in Sebastian camping at Longpoint and wow, all we did was fish the surf. There was tons of action. Sharks being the funnest, lots of spinners, blacktips and big tarpon right behind the break. Tons of bluefish and jacks up 10lbs. My arms are so tired its not even funny. So in my opinion they should be arriving here in a few days, so get ready boys. If you guys are going let me know when and where.
  11. I was at my local Gander Mt. shopping for my Saturday morning trip. And after picking up all the stuff I needed we were walking out and checked out the bragging board. A wall of pictures that they have right as you walk out of our Gander Mt. I don't know if every store has one or not, but ours does, and it is nice to see what people are catching locally. Well there was a picture of a bass on this board that look like it is 50lbs. Realistically it has to be 15 to 18lbs it is huge. There was no info just the picture so I took a iphone pic and will share with you guys. Let me know what you guys think. I am still a little in awwww.
  12. Last week I finally got a keeper 31" on the nose. Perfect size, gotta love it. These thing are getting harder and harder to catch, especially on the beach.
  13. Went out and did a little GC fishing, and it was good. Got like 30 or so fish with a few real nice ones. All of the fish fell for a lipless crank. The big girl went around 7.5 or so, with the other one pushing 5 lbs. Overall a great day at the golf course fishing.
  14. Shane I would like to thank you for the intel on where to get some snakleheads. Got out today and got a few, 13 snakeheads to only 5 bass. The big snakehead went 5.2 lbs. Just wondering is there an easy way to fillet those things. D*%N.
  15. Yep, I agree with you on those Ladyfish, they get clear out of the water on every jump, and multiple times. Lots of bluefish right now and they arn't to bad of a fight either. Did get a keeper Snook last week off the pier. This week not so good just blues and ladys. I did manage a just legal Pompano the other day. Mmmmm tasty.
  16. Thanks for the info. I will try to help get rid of some of them, and add a new florida invasive to my catch list.
  17. Hey Shane, I am in PB County I want to try to get some snakeheads. Have a jon boat, or can fish from shore. Could you give me some ideas where to get a few of them? I would appriciate it. Thanks.
  18. I think i will be going somewhere tomorrow. Not sure where and when, I guess I will have to keep an eye on the tides.
  19. Good luck on that cobia, I havn't heard about too many cobia being caught. Allot of kings out there, bottom fishing has been good out there. Dolphin over the last couple of weeks. Go get em. I won't be able to try again until Wed.
  20. I have read your your posts, and you seem to have the most knowledge on how to get those linesiders. I have been trying very hard to get one since the first, and it has been tough to say the least. Boynton Inlet, Jupiter inlet, the Juno Pier, and a few other select locations No Snook. I have caught them before, but it seem like when you want to get them they are very tough to get. Help me if you can.
  21. Here's the Tuna......
  22. Finally got out swordfishing, and what a night it was. Started about 7:30pm got out to like 1500 FOW and started drifting put out 5 lines 2 80W's and 3 50W's. It only took 2 hours and we had our first of 6 bites. We fought the sword for only 10 mins before it was boatside still very green. Got a opportunity to gaff it, and it took off like a rocket under the boat, we tried but the fish was too strong, and the hook pulled out. It was from our estimates around 120lbs or so. So a very dissapointing hour and a half later FISH ON.... We had the same situatuion the fish was at the boat in less than 10 min. This one was a little smaller and was no match for the 80 wide he was hooked up to. So now one sword in the boat, and half the night left to fish. To make a long story short 4 more bites and only one more catch a short 40 lb pup swordfish. Probably the best swordfishing experience I have had ever. I added a pic of a very nice blackfin I managed to get a few days earlier pushing 30 lbs. That's some good eatin right there.
  23. That is a nice one. But I have to agree with these other guys, she's 8lbs or so. And by the way 10# vanish would snap very quickly under 15lbs of drag.......
  24. Yeah that was cool. I sure wish you had a gun, It would have been real easy to blast that bad boy at that range. You could have had elk jerky for years.
  25. Yeah, I havn't been out since last week. I will try this Wed. probably the Jupiter Inlet or the pier.
