  1. Thanks again Sfritr, yeah not to worried about being in big waves we fish lake mich and its not a prob. But sucks to run in. But from what your sayin you shouldn't. Have to go to far form the launch to find fish!
  2. Thanks sfritr, I plan on fishing for mainly smallies, and LM. I have a 16 foot deep v with a 60hp motor it can take the waves but is pretty wide and rides rough at speed so long runs aren't that fun. I'll probably be there for maybe 4 days of fishing. What kind of depths are fish in that time of year? And would the river be a place to check too?
  3. I'm planning to head to lake st.clair this sep.or early oct. I've never been there before, and can't go for very long. So I was hoping some people on here could help me with a few starting points, like where to launch, stay, fish, (I don't have a very large boat) what time of the fall is good, what to try, that sort of thing. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
  4. Has anyone used a swim jig in michigan? If so, how well does it work, and what time of year do you use one?
  5. Well, I got the pflueger.haven't got to use it yet, but it flips and pitches great in the yard. I got it from TW, midnight.I had been watchin that sale, but I couldn't talk myself in to the right handed model. I figured if I'm spending $400 on a set up, get what you really want.
  6. Good hooks are key to longevity! the owners are great. The 4.5" sk baits are good the 3.5 take more speed on your retreive to have a good action. I'd stick to the 4.5s they are more versital
  7. Fishing topwater at night and was getting tired, made a cast and apparently forgot to hold on to my rod and threw it in the lake. Got it back the next day with the help of GPS and an aquaview. But hey! Got to go fishing two days in a row. I sould loose my grip more often.
  8. Looks like maybe a brown trout, hard t tell from a pic
  9. Everything is 2-3 weeks behind thanks to the colder then usuall spring. Watch the water temps.bass in the north will usually start hitting well when the surface temp gets up to 53-54 degrees! Try a lipless crank bait in a red craw color, works well for me in spring!
  10. I just joined, you guys are great thanks for the responses. Should have done this years ago:-)
  11. Wow,that sounds great! Good for you. Wish I could get over there. Might have to try some of that info on the west side!
  12. Been looking at getting a pflueger patriarch 71lpl for my new powell endurance, but came across a good deal on a revo s today. I know they're not really in the same class, but would like to know if anyone thinks the revo s is worth a shot?
  13. I agree with Canga, pflueger makes good products for good prices. I have a president, and love it!
