  3. Took Monday off and I'm thinking of hitting Rose Valley Lake. Anyone been there yet this spring?
  4. Incredible find. Good by Bass Pro.........hello TW!!!! Thanks for thin info!
  5. So a fellow angler on here mentioned a lure I haven't heard of before, the MegaBass Vision 110. Apparently this isn't the newest of lure but it's price has kept it in a range I haven't looked at before. I tend to look for at least one new item each spring and maybe spend a bit more than usual for it. Any opinions on this lure and or what color scheme is preferred? Thanks for the help!
  6. Thanks for the ideas and imput. I agree most people pick a particular lure as the best simply because that's the one they feel most comfortable with and use most often. Therefore that's the lure they catch most of their fish with and say it's the best. I should have asked if anyone has of a new product for 2011 that they can't wait to buy and try.
  7. So what's the best of the best this year for smallies and large mouth? I got into using the X-Rap last year. You can catch about anything on that lure.
  8. I work in Williamsport. Some nice bass in the river there. I hear a nice Musky was caught a couple weeks ago also. You prefer fishing above the dam or below? Hope to see fish ladders in soon to get the Shad up this far. Cowboys??? Was always told if ya have nothing nice to say don't say anything at all.""............... Just kiddin. WELCOME!!!!!
  9. And....... Go Pens!!!!
  10. From Lock Have area. Ready to hit some water this weekend. I hear bass aren't being very active yet so I guess I'll have to give the trout a try. If the dang rain holds off. Not looking too good for Saturday. Maybe Sunday.
  11. Tough is VERY true. I try bass fishing Sayers a few times early season and usually get disgusted. Tend to take the kid there for some crappy fishing throughout the summer just to catch a bunch of small fish for release. Usually if a crappy hits the 9 inch minimum it's gone. Won't get into the illegal crappy taken by the foreigners who think everything is legal and should be kept. I digress. I bowfish for carp here at night so I've seen some very nice bass below the beach on the mountain side. Occasional huge musky are seen as well. I've been told real early morning is a good time but plan to leave by 9 or 10. Good luck and let me know how you make out.
  12. New here and glad I joined up. Sayers drives me nuts. I crappie fish it with the family just for the quantity and fun to catch and release. In the summer nights we bowfish the lake at with lights and see some huge bass and some real nice muskies. However, that lake kicks my butt every time I fish for bass. Beautiful lake with such potential and so frustrating. Any pointers? :'(
  13. Hello all. I'm new to this posting but can't think of a better group to share information with. Thinking of taking a Striper trip to Raystown Lake in May or a May Smallmouth trip to Presque Isle Bay. Never did either before. Guess I can't have a second trip until I've had my first. Any and all suggestions welcome. Thanks!
