  1. Yes, but I think acetone does a better job. Have plenty of air circulation if you choose acetone. oe
  2. Catt, curiosity has me... how few lures do you actually fish consistently? oe
  3. gears... drag grease internal bearings... 80wt. outboard lower unit oil line roller bearing... REM oil (or similar light oil) oe
  4. variation on a theme... oe
  5. There are several flavors of SpiderWire... UltraCast is pretty good line, more tightly braided than its stable mates. oe
  6. I only use it as a bait lubricant... only apply it when it will benefit my bait sliding through appropriate cover. oe
  7. Different soft plastic bait sizes require different jig head weights to maintain the same drop and retrieve speeds I like to fish. Desired depth also factors into the equation, so yes I need weights 1/16, 3/32, 1/8, 3/16, 1/4 & 3/8. oe
  8. I tie them myself... slightly less than 1/8oz dressed weight... most of the time any "trailer" is tied as part of the jig. oe
  9. As in larger natural lakes, the outside weed edge (deeper) and inside weed edge (shallower) are important in finding active bass. Deeper than the outside weed edge is far less productive for me. oe

  11. I rig it with an Owner Twist-lock light wire 3/0 hook. Let it shimmy on the fall to bottom as you would a Senko then walk it back with very light snaps... can also be affective with a slow steady retrieve. A lot of 4" perch get devoured by bass in our neck of the woods. oe
  12. Its a jerkbait, I fish it as one oe
  13. switch to an Albright knot... oe
  14. If it was a joke I admit to being duped, although I think it is an extremely dumb idea... oe
  15. Forgive me if this has been posted and I missed it... Cashion rods has released a new rod with both a casting reel seat and a spinning reel seat. What do you think?... oe
  16. Yellow, blue, red & unpainted (1/16, 1/8, 3/16 & 1/4 ounce) in my box. I just paint the lead collar. oe
  17. Owner Twistlock light wire -- 3/0, 4/0 & 5/0... piece of nail weight if I need more depth oe
  18. Caffeine Shad (or other fluke baits) oe
  19. I fish a sparsely tied rabbit/marabou jig in the early spring and late fall but not so much during the warmer months. I switch to a rabbit dressed leech pattern tied to a straight hook used drop shotting and a bou-tube (marabou dressed tube jig inserted into a 3" thin walled tube with the tentacles removed). I get better casting distance and depth with these baits and everything swimming in my lakes eat them... oe
  20. if you fish those red hooks in shallower water the red color won't fade as quickly... oe
  21. Zorro Aggravator short arm oe
  22. hmmm, didn't think I was pitting one video against another. All of his suggestions held true to my lakes. oe
  23. Thanks A-Jay... I'm not certain what is allowed and what isn't in linking vids... oe
