Traditional walleye fishing techniques are aided with a more parabolic rod, thus, us "traditional" (older) anglers think of those rod specs as being walleye specific. If it fits your needs it's the right rod for your technique.
I believe there is a difference between a natural lake and an impounded river and they will fish differently.
Things can change more quickly in a small lake vs. a large lake... temp, turbidity, weed cover, fishing pressure, ect.
I have a couple pictures of my grand kids holding a bass and one pic of me helping my very young grand daughter hold a 2lb largemouth. I prize those pics and believe the Lord will forgive me if I endangered any of those bass...

Are there any anglers on this site that have fished the new Berkley Forward braid? How similar is it to the discontinued Nano-fil? What are your thoughts on it?

smallmouth... (40* can be far different than 49*)
40*... deep bill suspending jerkbait and a finesse hair/hare jig
45*... (add to above) lipless crankbait and tube bait
49*... (add to above) shallow suspending jerkbait, small finesse swim bait and caffeine shad.
On your home lake... what percent of your time do you spend idling around watching your electronics without a bait in the water vs. running to known spots and begin casting without using your electronics to search?
I'm searching with my down scan graph less than 5% of my time on the water.

Lot of finesse swim baits in the market... 4" Lunker City Swimmin' Ribster and Charlie Brewer's 3" boot tail grub are the only two I've ever fished. I haven't felt deprived.

I'm seeing quite a few 2-tone colors of zman baits on their site. This leads me to believe I can mix light with dark baits (of their own plastics) in the same bag without the dark bleeding into the light baits. True-False?
