  1. Congratulations to him!
  2. That will work, especially if the bass are short striking the bait.
  3. Nope.
  4. Fall fishing can be hit or miss. The bass are more sensitive to fronts moving through, and the high and low temps have a wider gap. It's not as bad as springtime, but worse than summer.
  5. When I was around 10 I came inside and my arms and legs were red and swollen. Allergist said that I had become sensitized to grass. That was the last year I walked barefoot outside.
  6. I've never had a problem with sea sickness.
  7. It depends on how thick the stuff is that I'm punching through. In the real thick stuff the skirt sometimes gets tangled up.
  8. I think your overall mindset is key. I have seen a lot of my coworkers pass away within a year of retirement. I think it's because they identified themselves with the job and when they retired, or were forced to retire, they didn't know what to do. I don't think I will have that problem. I only have 2 or 3 years left before I can sign that paper, and I can already taste it.
  9. I have a 2017 Toyota Camry that gets driven everywhere. 83500 miles on it now, and I'll probably be driving it until it falls apart.
  10. Mine would be a Shakespeare 2200-II spinning reel. I received that reel for my 10th birthday and used it every season for the next 31 years.
  11. I always check the knot and I check to make sure the duo lock snap is still closed.
  12. It's been very hot here and the bass that I have been catching have not wanted to chase anything down. Crankbaits, spinnerbaits, and bladed jigs have not been getting bit.
  13. I restocked the baits I was low on over Father's day and my birthday. Unless I start breaking off baits on every other cast I should be good for a while.
  14. I'd throw both of them and see which one the bass want to bite.
  15. In muddy water I like some kind of firetiger, or something with orange or red in it. In stained water I look for the vegetation. Depending on what is causing the stain the plant life will filter it.
  16. Welcome to the forums.
  17. The only gambling I do is at work getting food out of the vending machine.
  18. Uni and palomar knot.
  19. Desktop PC Iphone 6S Chromebook
  20. I won't cast a jig into rip rap until I've fished the rocks with a t-rig for a while to see what the snags are like.
  21. Zoom finesse worm, or a 3" BPS Stiko. Same baits I use on a split shot rig.
  22. August 8, a little before 6 AM. I cast out a black jitterbug over a road bed and let it sit for about 20 seconds. When I finally engaged the reel, the bait turned toward me. That was all it took.
  23. I do this also. I'm thinking that if they are biting at this spot then they must be biting at that spot. I usually end up coming back to the first location after I've wasted an hour or so somewhere non productive.
  24. I get up to go fishing at the same time I get up to go to work, so for me it's not that much of a stretch. I've noticed a lot of the time around here the bass don't bite at first light. The bite will start 30 to 45 minutes later.
