  2. Baby Brush Hog Super Hog Pit Boss. I have some Z-Hogs but haven't used them yet.
  3. A few months before Covid hit, my youngest daughter started college. Now she's going to graduate in May. She wants the entire family to come down for graduation. That's going to be an experience.
  4. At work I used to drink 4 or 5 cups each day before noon. I gave that up a couple of years ago so now it's straight ice water. Now the only time I have coffee is at home. I will have a cup or two before I leave for a fishing trip.
  5. I always fill it up.
  6. If you can afford it I would get rid of the 30-pound motor and get one with at least 40-pound thrust. If you are on a 50 acre lake and get hit with a hard gust of wind it will turn that jon boat before you know what's happening. I would also go with the suggestion that @MN Fisher made about a 15 pound anchor. I've dragged a 10 pound anchor on the bottom during a windy day. Something else to think about is getting a push pole just in case you run up on top of something.
  7. I don't see myself buying any new baits this year.
  8. Either a 3" BPS Stik-O, or a Zoom Finesse worm.
  9. Around 15 or 16 years ago we took the boat back into a creek channel. There were these two stumps sticking up out of the water and they were about 4 feet apart. I was fishing with a jig, but didn't get any bites until I cast out past the stumps and then dragged the jig back between them. I got 12 bass in about 15 minutes.
  10. The first thing I would do is retire. I'd figure out what to buy after that.
  11. I use either 6#, 10#, or 15# mono depending on the bait I am using and the cover I am casting around.
  12. Either white or white / chartreuse is what I use 99% of the time. The other 1% is when I use black.
  13. I started fishing with swim jigs a few years ago. I don’t think I have fished with any size except 1/4 ounce. The biggest problem I have is getting the trailer straight. If the trailer isn’t straight then the jig might run wrong. If the jig is running wrong the bass around here won’t bite it.
  14. I’ll start off with a 3/8 jig and if I don’t get bites with that I will usually go down to a 1/8 or 1/4 size. There have been a few times when the bass won’t bite the smaller jig either. Then I try a 3/4 ounce jig. If that size doesn’t work I put the jig rod down.
  15. Maybe it was how I was fishing with them, but I never got that many bites on lizards. I may have to dig them out and try them again.
  16. Either a clear or bone colored Super Spook Jr or a Zara Puppy in the same colors
  17. It's going to be freezing here again this weekend. All of the plants and trees that have started to wake up are probably going to lose their buds.
  18. I don't rig up the plastic bait until I'm out at the lake. If I rig up early the chances are very good that I will be changing baits as soon as I hit the water.
  19. Green pumpkin, watermelon red, watermelon candy, and watermelon are the four greens that I use. Usually, but not always, the more murky the water then the darker the green.
  20. I fish them on a split shot rig, and on a Texas rig. I've never tried them on a wacky rig.
  21. Most of the cover I fish is vegetation. Lilypads, coontail, and water willows make up the majority of it.
  22. Creme 6" Scoundrel Zoom Finesse Worm Zoom Ultra Vibe Speedcraw Yum Dinger 4" BPS 3" Stik-O
  23. Found the crankbait up in the weeds, and the Shadow Rap hanging in a bush.
  24. I don’t have a dedicated rod, but the rod I use is a 6’6” St. Croix Premier.
