  1. What is the main food source for the bass? Where I fish the lakes with shad have some bass in the 5-6 pound range. On the small lakes where bluegill is the main food I have caught nothing over 1 pound.
  2. I don't even remember if I made any or not :
  3. There isn't a whole lot of places around me for small and spots, so I usually go after largemouth.
  4. OK little blue pill, but how do you get the bass to swallow it??? :D
  5. Wind, Wind, Wind. It will determine everything from what size lure I throw to how I position the boat.
  6. Do you like to fish more in cover or over structure along the bottom? Most of the largemouth I have caught this year have been over bumps and depressions on the bottom of the lake.
  7. A hawg in Eastern Missouri??? I will shoot for a 5 pounder.
  8. I always heard that they start to spawn when the dogwoods bloom in the spring.
  9. I use the ones without a rattle probably 90% of the time.
  10. I am starting to believe the old saying that things grow bigger in Texas!!!!
  11. I went out Saturday. Never got a bite for 5 hours. It had to be the cold weather, I was so cold I probably couldn't have felt a bite if I had gotton one.
  12. I'm out in St.Charles, Mo.
  13. In the bags for all of the above mentioned reasons, and also it is easier to look at the bags for the colors instead of trying to remember them.
  14. 1/8 ounce and 1/4 ounce jigs.
  15. Strong gusty wind.
  16. 4-1/2 pounds. Got him on Lake Of The Ozarks.
  17. Ice out? Ice In is more like it up here in MO.
  18. I would hit the bank that the wind is blowing against with cranks, and jigs.
  19. I vote location also. It could be that some other species of fish has moved into the area and their feeding is upsetting the bass.
  20. I took my two girls bass fishing for the first time last year. My older one had been bluegill fishing before. They were casting for about 1-1/2 hours before they got tired and wanted to come home. So, I guess in answer to your question, I didn't.
  21. I like Zoom Plastics just because they have a large assortment, and I can usually find what I need without looking all over. For small jigs, I like the Strike King Bitsy Bug.
  22. I guess my favorite spot is around 60 years old. I have been going there since I was about 7 or 8.
  23. Not nearly enough !!!
  24. The place were I go has about 10 lakes between 10 and 160 acres, and around 20 big ponds.
  25. I think it depends on how smart the bass is in relation to other bass, and how the smarter ones get conditioned to their surroundings.
