  1. I have some older traps and you can feel the difference in the paint from the new ones. The only traps that I have had chip and flake off though have been the chrome w/ blue back. They seem to be flaking off just from casting them.
  2. Jigs around cover. If the sun is out I like to try and find spots where the fish will try and get warm like road beds in 3 to 4 feet of water.
  3. I like the Zoom Super Chunks. I will also use tubes with the front end cut off, plastic worms, and just about any other type of plastic bait I can get on the jig hook.
  4. Thanks for the info!!!
  5. 1/4 ounce Strike King Bitsy Bug.
  6. To go with a finesse baitcaster I have. Right now the reel is on a 5-1/2 foot casting rod and I throw light crankbaits with it. I would like to put it on a 6-1/2 or 7-0 foot rod and use 1/8 and 1/4 ounce jigs. Does anyone have any ideas for around $100?
  7. I would try some sort of a crawfish, tube, or a slug-o.
  8. I have one Lucky Craft Pointer that I have never had any luck on. I think I spent around 15 or 16 bucks on it.
  9. I leave the split rings on with the snaps. I think it actually give the crankbaits a little more action.
  10. I like the Slug-o and the fluke both. If they are not hitting on one they will be hitting the other one.
  11. I chose BPS, because I am 10 minutes away. I also like Gateway Outfitters. They offer some hard to find stuff in hard to find colors.
  12. Congrats on the new baby!!
  13. Another Watcher.
  14. You got me good!!
  15. I always were the same cap, and never take any pictures until the first fish has been caught.
  16. Bill Lewis Rat-L-Trap, and the Cordell Super Spot.
  17. You guys had a great time. Thanks for the vid's.
  18. I cast right/reel right with a baitcaster, and cast right, reel left with spinning gear.
  19. ditto Ditto again.
  20. In my area it would be a Rat-l-trap, or a jig.
  21. I switch to a bigger weight in the wind, but a bigger weight tends to get stuck more when you're working it along the bottom. When the weight gets stuck, don't pull it, tighten up the slack and raise the rod up high and pull easy. This will help the weight get over the rock, tree, stump, etc.
  22. I keep asking my two daughters if they would like to go down to the community lakes and catch some bluegill or crappie, but they would rather go shopping with my wife. I guess I'll just have to ask my nephew if he wants to go.
  23. 4.75 pounds on a deep diving humpback rebel. It was down at Lake Of the Ozarks. It was overcast and I was fishing around a gravel road bed.
  24. I fish from both, but I do not own a boat so I marked bank.
  25. Good stuff in here. Very interesting results.
