  1. Bill Lewis Rat-L-Traps in the 1/4 and 1/2 ounce size.
  2. Good topic. This made me take a step back and look at the way I fish.
  3. Welcome Aboard.
  4. They are just resting up for the big end of the season sales.
  5. I don't know. The dinks I catch won't fit on the scale.
  6. I can't catch a thing with a Beetle Spin and I have about a dozen of them.
  7. We must be fishing the same water. I've caught two nice ones this year and the rest won't even make the scale move.
  8. I have a 5'-6" pistol grip that I use for casting 1/2 and 3/8 sizes. It works great with crankbaits, but I have never used it with plastics.
  9. I use to use a 5' with my UL rig. All the weight was in the back with the reel, and the casting was not that great. I bought a 6' Quantum at Wal-mart and i like that one much better.
  10. I have used some of the soft plastics with scent added, but I have never bought scent to add to baits.
  11. When my wife and two girls ask me what I want for Father's Day and my birthday I always tell them GIFT CARDS. They tend to buy reels, rods, and lures based on how pretty they look.
  12. I would try a t rigged weightless worm.
  13. Watermelon Candy, black grape, watermelon seed, pumpkin/chart. and green pumpkin.
  14. Storm Wiggle Wart Storm Sub Wart Cotton Cordell Big O
  15. Bill Lewis Rat-l-trap 1/2 and 1/4 ounce sizes Cotten Cordell Super Spot 1/2 and 1/4 ounce sizes The color I use depends on how deep I will be fishing and how clear the water is.
  16. I have been averaging about 3 fish a trip, more if you count all of the ones I have missed .
  17. Had this happen this past weekend. Bright and sunny all last week and a heavy rain on Friday night. Saturday the bite was off. I think that it changes what they feed on due to the bugs and worms that wash into the water.
  18. If you have two reels that are the same in every way except weight then try switching reels. That 1/2 oz. can make a whole lot of difference.
  19. You can find a kid that likes to fish and give him a great present.
  20. I bought a Bionic Blade for crankbaits and spinnerbaits but I wouldn't use it for jigs and plastics.
  21. Start practicing with a 3/8 practice plug or heavier. Don't try for distance at first, just work on getting the plug out without a backlash. Tighten the knob on the side down so that when you hold the rod level the plug slowly drops down.
  22. Just put on the rain gear and keep on going. I have also found out the hard way that it is a good idea to keep a scoop in the boat in case of a real heavy downpour.
