  1. I'll start with jigs and plastics around the deepest structure I can find. As the day gets warmer I'll move into the more shallow water and throw lipless baits, minus 1s, and finesse jigs.
  2. There is just something about pitchin a jig that you don't get from crankbaits.
  3. Rat-l-trap
  4. My vote goes for Avid.

  6. For BPS Stik-o I like: watermelon w/ gold flake junebug watermelon For Zoom Z-nails I like: Watermelon Candy
  7. If you haven't done it yet read the articles on winter fishing on this site.
  8. If its like the ponds that I fish, then there are 5 people fishing at every piece of cover that is next to the bank. I would get a jig or a c-rig and look for structure in the deeper water.
  9. I think the Rolling Stones wrote a song about him. I think its called "Sympathy For The Baitmonkey".
  10. I don't know about Berkley, but you might try Creme's website. The original probably comes in white.
  11. I use a palomar for everything.
  12. I'm the same way. With the expection of a couple of my reels that have very shallow spools (TD-S 105, Morrum UM Forrells) I remove half the line off the spool and then tie the new line to the old. It's normally between 75-100 yards. This saves time and money when respooling. Same here. I have been using mono, and if the line starts feeling kinky, or if it looks faded compared to new line out of the box I will put new line on.
  13. I'll t-rig it until it starts getting torn up. Then I'll wacky rig it.
  14. Years ago we were throwing a Heddon Big Bud in a pond that was maybe 5 or 6 acres. The bass were tearing it up. It was the only thing they would hit.

  18. Hopefully I'll be able to get out between X-mas and New Years. So far this month we've had to replace the stove and water heater in the house, and the main sewer line has backed up.
  19. Exactly how many bait monkeys have you got on your back???
  20. x2 x3. Don't overthink it, "Just Do It" x4. This time of year I throw a 3/8 black and a 3/8 blue black.
  21. 1. Don't use them. 2. No trailers, hooks sometimes. 3. Dark colors down deep. 4. 3/8 or 1/4 ounce depending on depth and what the fish want.
  22. Zoom finesse worm or a Zoom trick worm. Both in black grape.
  23. Gift cards from Cabelas and BPS.
  24. Many years ago I was on a rock dam and one of the rocks rolled. My knee came down on a pointed rock and I had a hole in my knee about the size of a penny. It swelled up and I couldn't bend it for 10 days. I went to the ER and x-rays looked like a car windshield, OK around the edges but busted up in the middle.
