  1. Can't beat a pegged straight worm for flippin into heavy weeds.
  2. I bought one of those BPS bags last year, but I went back to using my old one. After I filled up the bag from BPS it was just to dang heavy.
  3. BPS is a retail store and they are in business to make money. For the most part I think that the people they employ are very honest and helpful, but just like in all companies there will always be that so and so that will try to get more $$$ by cheating the consumer.
  4. I have always heard that carp will feed on mulberrys, and if you can keep a berry on your hook you can catch good ones.
  5. Congrats on the new arrival. Keep your head down and have a Merry Christmas
  6. I'll start with jigs and plastics around the deepest structure I can find. As the day gets warmer I'll move into the more shallow water and throw lipless baits, minus 1s, and finesse jigs.
  7. There is just something about pitchin a jig that you don't get from crankbaits.
  8. Rat-l-trap
  9. My vote goes for Avid.
  10. Animal House The Green Mile Smokey and The Bandit Blazing Saddles Ruthless People Saving Private Ryan
  11. For BPS Stik-o I like: watermelon w/ gold flake junebug watermelon For Zoom Z-nails I like: Watermelon Candy
  12. If you haven't done it yet read the articles on winter fishing on this site.
  13. If its like the ponds that I fish, then there are 5 people fishing at every piece of cover that is next to the bank. I would get a jig or a c-rig and look for structure in the deeper water.
  14. I think the Rolling Stones wrote a song about him. I think its called "Sympathy For The Baitmonkey".
  15. I don't know about Berkley, but you might try Creme's website. The original probably comes in white.
  16. I use a palomar for everything.
  17. I'm the same way. With the expection of a couple of my reels that have very shallow spools (TD-S 105, Morrum UM Forrells) I remove half the line off the spool and then tie the new line to the old. It's normally between 75-100 yards. This saves time and money when respooling. Same here. I have been using mono, and if the line starts feeling kinky, or if it looks faded compared to new line out of the box I will put new line on.
  18. I'll t-rig it until it starts getting torn up. Then I'll wacky rig it.
  19. Years ago we were throwing a Heddon Big Bud in a pond that was maybe 5 or 6 acres. The bass were tearing it up. It was the only thing they would hit.
  20. Welcome to the forum!!!

  23. Hopefully I'll be able to get out between X-mas and New Years. So far this month we've had to replace the stove and water heater in the house, and the main sewer line has backed up.
  24. Exactly how many bait monkeys have you got on your back???
