  1. In 06 lake 35 had a large fish kill, due to the low water levels and hot weather. Went on it a couple of times last year, didn't do all that great. That lake does have some pretty good size muskie in it also.
  2. I usually bring four. One rigged for a jig, one t-rigged with a small plastic, one rigged with a senko, and one stays locked in the car.
  3. Weakest is a topwater. The most under used is a spinnerbait.
  4. As soon as you get a backlash, a fish will run with your bait.
  5. I don't go out looking for bedding bass , but if I happen to find some beds I will make a few casts.
  6. A fish so small that some wiseguy asks if that is your trailer.
  7. I love the weeds. Somewhere I read that when it get hot the bass will move into the thick stuff to get the oxygen from the weeds.
  8. I have more confidence in some lures more than others, but I do have a lucky cap.
  9. Where's Raul when you need him?????
  10. Welcome Aboard!!!!!
  11. Bass fishing is a sport. Collecting tackle is a hobby.
  12. IMHO, this is how I have seen the serious crappie fisherman do it. They will always have several rods set up in rod holders on their boat with them set at various depths. The one thing that gets me though is how they manage not to get tangled. Me, I am more of a hands on kind of guy when it comes to fishing. I think they call that spider rigging????
  13. On the Bottom Zoom Super Chunk Zoom Baby Brush Hog Senko Various Plastic Worms Swimming Zoom Salty Chunk
  14. Love the footloose and it works good as a wakebait also.
  15. If you are fishing out of a boat I would use a heavy jig like 3/4 ounce or more to punch through the weeds to get down to the bottom. If your fishing off of the bank, I would use a lighter weight like a 1/4 ounce or a 1/8 ounce and swim it back across the tops of the weeds.
  16. Abu's service is great. A couple of years ago I broke a split ring on a blackmax 3600 baitcaster. When I called the service dept. they asked me if that was all I needed. When I told them yes, they said they would put it in the mail that afternoon at no charge.
  17. Buzz baits and topwaters. I hardly ever use them.
  18. Welcome aboard!!
  19. For about three years now. It really comes in handy to be able to go back and look at how you fished certain lakes under different conditions.
  20. I use 5:3.1 for everything except buzzbaits and spinners. For those I use 6:3.1.
  21. Don't waste your time on a product that may or may not work. You don't want to get out on the water and find out your new BPS reel is a dud. Buy the Shimano.
  22. I haven't been able to get out alot this year, but last year it was senko/senko knockoff jig w/ trailer rat-l-trap
  23. I voted Bass Pro. I live about 10 minutes from one and I don't like to buy stuff online unless I absolutely cannot find it somewhere else.
  24. I would start with a buzzbait or a spinnerbait. If the bass didn't like fast I would slow it down with a t-rigged worm or a jig.
  25. Its getting thicker here .
