  1. Jig or a t-rigged plastic.
  2. Going on 6 weeks now since I had shoulder surgery. I have the fishing show TV schedules down pat, and I have read and re-read all my fishing mags. I got out of my sling last Friday and as my strength comes back I guess I will start organizing the tackle bag and sharpening hooks. Saturday I sat in the recliner with my curado watching Bill Dance. I believe that I am slowly losing it.
  3. I tend to rubberneck when I see someone fishing on one of those lakes.
  4. In grassy areas, I like to throw a plastic worm out and bring it back like a crankbait. I will run it just over the top of the grass.
  5. Prayers sent.
  6. I use snaps for cranks and lipless. Everything else gets tied on.
  7. I use Booyah jigs, but I remove the rattles.
  8. Green Pumpkin Black Grape Watermelon Red
  9. Thanks for the info. I didn't know BPS was stocking them.
  10. Favorite companies would be Cotton Cordell and Creme. Favorite lure would be the Big-O. I use to catch a ton on that lure when I was younger.
  11. We usually see a lot of them in lakes near the river after a flood. I haven't seen one that large in a long time.
  12. If you are staying at a cabin or resort, find out how much boat rental is. If you are driving a long distance and pulling your boat, it may be cheaper to rent a boat and save some $$$ on gas.
  13. Had to be when I untied the boat then remembered I had left something on the dock. I had one foot on the dock and one in the boat and nearly went in the lake.
  14. It depends on what type of cover I'm fishing in. If I'm in fairly open water I will use spinning gear. If I'm in thick slop I will use a baitcaster.
  15. I have to remember that one!!
  16. Usually after a few cuss words I have it worked out of my system.
  17. If I have thrown everything in the box without even one bite, I usually try a jig and if that doesn't work I pack it up and go home.
  18. Mann's jelly worm or a Zoom finesse worm. I'll t-rig it or c-rig it depending on how thick the weeds are.
  19. Try and visit the area you'll be fishing during daylight hours to get an idea of the terrain. The last thing you want to do is crack your head on a low hanging limb that you didn't know was there.
  20. I need to check this more often. Lived out in St. Charles now since '81. Before that I use to live in St. John. I use to do a lot of fishing at Spanish Lake.
  21. I had shoulder surgery 11 days ago for a torn labrum. I went to the Dr. on Friday, and he told me I would be in a sling until at least 4-23 when I have my next visit. If he thinks that I have healed enough, I can start strength training after that. I can use my hand but I can't lift anything heavier than around a pound. Dr. said that if the strength work goes O.K. that I will be able to do regular stuff in the middle of May.
  22. X2 Happened when I had an ear infection a few years back. It was like I was looking through a gray veil.
