  1. I like a 6'-6" med. spinning rig w/ a fast tip for fishing t-rigs. For C-rigs I go for a 6'-6" heavy with a baitcaster.
  2. I've been throwing Zoom tiny brush hogs and the BPS 3" stik-o.
  3. You got some nice ones!! Thanks for the pics.
  4. No snow here. Luckily we are only going to get severe thunderstorms that may spawn tornadoes and straight line winds maybe in excess of 70 mph .
  5. I usually get a real funny look when someone asks me what I am throwing and I tell them that its a Jitterbug.
  6. I have a 5'-6" pistol grip that I bought in '03 to fish off of the bank with. I have never had any issues with it.
  7. Landing it. You can lose a fish on the bite, hookset, or fight. When you've got that bass by the lip you know you did it all correctly.
  8. I have had good luck fishing around weeds with jigs and spinner baits. Plastics not so much.
  9. This is almost as bad as a curado vs. revo thead.
  10. Anyone using these? From the pic it sort of looks like a short senko.
  11. And don't forget the head lamp.
  12. A tiny paca chunk, or a Zoom tiny salty chunk. If those don't work I have a bag of old plastic worms that have gotten too beat up to use on t-rigs or c-rigs.
  13. I usually fish Zoom small tubes in green pumpkin, pumpkin, and junebug.
  14. You might try a weightless Zoom small tube. It won't sink at all if there is an air bubble inside it.
  15. Two weeks ago, while digging out a backlash, I somehow managed to get the line wrapped around my feet. Not only that, but I got the line tangled in my shoe strings, lost my balance, and almost fell in.
  16. A heavy jig or spinnerbait. I fish the side of the lake where the wind is hitting. I like to throw the bait right where the water is hitting the shore and drag it back into the water. Looks like something that got washed into the lake.
  17. I would try dragging a tube on the bottom and through the weeds.
  18. I use a 6'-0" rod with 6 lb mono. I like the heavier line just in case I catch a good size fish.
  19. I own two spinning reels. One I use for small finesse plastics, and the other I use for ultra light baits.
  20. It's usually nice all week until Friday when a cold front moves in.
  21. I like the Hybrid in 15 pounds. That stuff is really strong. I don't care too much for the ultra soft though.
  22. Jig on a heavy action rod. You don't want to go light around timber.
  23. For you guys that catch double digit largemouth on a regular basis I am trying to figure out how much a 29" bass in healthy conditions might weigh. A person I know went out last weekend with no camera, scale, or measuring tape. He laid the bass down next to his rod and marked it off. When he got home it was 29" between the marks.
  24. I would try one or two rigs with braid first and see how you like it. I have tried it over the past two years on a couple of my spinning and baitcasters and didn't care for it.
  25. I seem to get a lot of little bass just hitting at the frog. Also I tend to have a lot of real frogs going after the bait.
