  1. The avg. size around here is 1 to 2 pounds. Any bass in the 3 or 4 pound range is camera time, and anything 5 pounds or over is something to call home about.
  2. Jigs with some kind of matching trailer.
  3. Sounds like you had a great day.
  4. We went out Saturday morning before it got hot. I had a jitterbug tied on but the lake we were on looked like it was starting to weed up so I put on a green bronzeye. I had been casting into the slop for about 10 min. when one finally took it. It was a dink, but it had both hooks in its mouth. I had three more hits, but missed all of them. I think that I was so wired from the first bass that I started pulling too quick on the other bites.
  5. Right now its a chrome w/ blue back Cordell super spot.
  6. Years ago I used to have a malibu classic. One day I was replacing the wiper motor, and I noticed something furry in the front around the fan. Turned out that the neighbor's cat had come in while I had the garage open and decided to take a nap up in the motor. Luckily we were able to get the cat out in one piece and without injury.
  7. For the past 25 years I have worked in the Facilities dept. of an aerospace corp.
  8. I'm sorry to hear about your loss.
  9. Family aside I would say Virgil Ward. I use to watch him on TV when I was little.
  10. For me it depends on the structure and the cover in the lake. Usually if I am fishing with someone one of us will throw a crank and one of us will throw a spinnerbait.
  11. No man cave for me, but I do have some of the stuff in the basement moved around so that I have my own little nook down there.
  12. That comes from catching all of those hawgs.
  13. You keep this up and you'll have your own fishing show in no time.
  14. That is a big bass. Good Job!
  15. Welcome aboard! The first thing that I would do is start reading the articles on this forum. My favorite way to fish a spinnerbait is to let it fall to the bottom and just start slow rolling it.
  16. Something dark. Probably along the lines of black or green pumpkin.
  17. When I graduated college I was working 40 hours a week at night, and about 20 hours a week part time during the day. To this day if I'm asked to work 2nd shift I will turn it down.
  18. I usually throw 3/8 oz. jigs about 90% of the time. If I am in a lot of weeds I will downsize.
  19. Sound like you guys had a real great time. Thanks for the pics.
  20. If it's the tire and rim size it will also throw off your odometer.
  21. If I saw one of those things on my wall I think I would go screaming like a little girl out into the street !
  22. I put at least 15 lb. on all of my baitcasters. 10 lb. and less go on the spinning reels.
  23. IMHO, if the bass thinks that the bait can be swallowed the bass will probably try and eat it, no matter what the size the bait is.
  24. Probably Bruce Springsteen. I think that i have all of his releases.
