  1. Might try dead sticking it also.
  2. With so many baits out there this is a tough question. Probably a jig and trailer, or a topwater bait.
  3. You might try pulling a crankbait, spinnerbait, or a jig just fast enough so that it hits the tops of the weeds, but doesn't get hung.
  4. Same here. I keep jig trailers in a zip lock bag in a side compartment of my tackle bag.
  5. LMAO while reading this. I know they are funny, but some of them really make you think.
  6. I go bass fishing with my Dad pretty much every week. The people that I work with are either into hunting, or fishing for crappie and bluegill. Some of my neighbors fish, but they like to go out for the quiet and to get away for a couple of hours. Like my Dad says "if your taking it easy out on the lake then your not bass fishing".
  7. Usually if someone I know has had good luck with a bait I will go out and buy one. I listen to the pros when they say how they work a bait and where they fish it. When the pros start throwing out brand names and where you can buy them I usually start to tune out.
  8. Looks like you had a great time. Thanks for the pics.
  9. Happy Father's Day everyone. My wife asked me what I wanted to eat for Father's Day, and I told her Starbucks and White Castles.
  10. For me it has to be Big-Os. I check out the discount bins and if I see one in a color that I do not have I buy it.
  11. Makes me wonder about all those times when I have felt a bite while fishing plastics on the bottom and pulled in half a worm. How many were fish and how many were turtles.
  12. Happy Father's Day everyone! I'm not suppose to know about this, but I am getting a gift card from BPS from my two girls.
  13. You can use any plastic in your tackle box as a trailer. By changing the trailer you can give the jig a whole new appearance. I will tie on a new jig only after I have tried 4 or 5 different plastics as trailers.
  14. I have seen several people using these things on the lakes that I fish. The bass were not touching it. This is pretty much like everything else that comes out. When it's new everyone will be using it, but after a while people will go back to what they have confidence in.
  15. you can get burned buying something from the store just as easily. Always check to see what the return policy says before you buy something.
  16. That is one good looking bass.
  17. That's a nice bass. He did a good job.
  18. I usually get on the water sometime between 5 and 6 AM. Sometimes the bass are awake then and sometimes they aren't.
  19. My fav is a big black Jitterbug.
  20. I voted for 3 musketeers, but I love them all.
  21. My advice would be to call in a professional to see what they say about it, and go from there.
  22. For me, I would choose the Curado.
  23. When I use them its a single blade.
