  1. My dad used to have a 12' deep V boat. Ain't no way I'd put that in anything bigger than a pond.
  2. Can you say HAWGS!!
  3. Happy Anniversary!
  4. Normally four rigs will do it for me. Six rigs if I bring the ML, and UL.
  5. Don't overthink it. There could be a number of reasons why the bass don't want a hopped jig.
  6. I feel like I have more options bank fishing. When I fish a small lake out of a boat, that is where I will be fishing all day regardless of how the bass are biting. When I fish from the bank then I move about every hour to an hour and a half until find them. Sometimes I will move to an entirely different body of water. I also have more time to fish from the bank since I'm not having to take time to load or trailer a boat.
  7. Everything else being equal, I would fish that flooded timber along the steep bank, and along the river bed.
  8. Wow! Glad everyone is OK.
  9. Not every lake has big bass in it. I think it is more important to learn and be able to adapt to the conditions during any given trip so that you can catch the bass that are available in the lake.
  10. I still fish with a Cordell Big-o and 1/4 spot. The lures are still in production but the colors I fish with are not.
  11. I always start off with a worm rigged weightless. If the bass don't want that then I add a split shot.
  12. I like to use black & blue for murky water. Junebug is for clear water and cloudy days.
  13. Those jigs look really sharp.
  14. Ouch! I put my first phone, a small flip phone, in my shirt pocket and didn't think about it again until I leaned over the boat and it fell in. After that, I always keep the phone in my front pants pocket.
  15. For 3/8 and heavier I would fish a mh/f, for around 1/4 I would fish with a m/f or m/m.
  16. Everything that @ol'crickety said. I've noticed that when we have a stretch of really hot weather then the bite on top is dead. It doesn't matter the time of day.
  17. With vegetation that thick the bass could be anywhere in the water column. I'd start off with a buzzbait or a frog. If they're not on top I would try a weightless plastic worm, Senko, or a fluke.
  18. That's not how I like to end a trip. Glad he's ok.
  19. Happy wife, happy life.
  20. Sending thoughts and prayers out your way.
  21. I usually just long arm the fish. I get it back the bass back in the water faster, and there is less chance of someone seeing me with the fish.
  22. Right now I've downsized to 8 lb Big Game line to give that a try. I was using 10 lb, but with the dinks I have been catching lately I don't think 2 lbs is going to make a difference.
  23. That is quite the hawg you caught!
  24. Some baits from my last two trips.
  25. My daughter got it done to her car a couple of weeks ago. You can’t see out the back at night. It drives me nuts when I ride with her. I’ve already done an internet search on how to get the tint off the window.
