Back in the 70's there was a pay lake that my dad and I would fish. It was open 24 hours a day. We would head out to it around 5 or 6 in the afternoon, and fish into the night. Sometimes we got back home at 9:00 p.m., other times we got home at sunrise depending on how the fishing went. The main property was farmland. When the owner retired his children didn't want the farm so he sold the property to developers.

On pressured water during the weekend the opposite is true. An empty lot usually means that nothing is biting.

I've replaced washers and worn spacers on both Shimano and Daiwa reels. I really think how you fish with them partially determines how long the parts last.

There's not many pickerel around here, so I don't have a lot of experience with those I catch a few bass on frogs each season, but frogs aren't my #1 choice for a topwater bait in the water that I fish. Fishing in lily pads, I have better luck dragging a jig across the top of the pad and then letting it sink to the bottom after I pull it off the edge of the pad.

Nothing like that around here, but when it rains I pretty much have the lake to myself.

I keep mine in the original packages. Then they all get organized based on brand and bait type.

My grandpa worked on the assembly line at a GM plant. He always said that after a car has been in a bad accident it's never the same again. We'll see.

My insurance sent me the estimate that it received from the body shop. Close to $6300.00 damage. Left front suspension was completely destroyed. Wheel, tire, wheel cover, and left fender were ruined. The left front axle had to be replaced, and the front bumper needs replacing. Good news is they are able to get parts, and it should be ready by the middle of next week. Also, the frame and front rebar were not damaged.

Nice! When it cools down here in the fall the bass will be going after flukes more.
