  1. yes but he said 1 BIG FISH. if you catch a 5 lb for one day of fishing in a tournament you wont win. but if you catch 5 2-3 pound fish youre more likely to win. (by the way i wasnt talking about the smaller soft plastic swimbaits i meant those giant 2-4 ounce ones used in california)
  2. i thought power worms were to thin to flip. what size weight do you use for it?
  3. woops i guess thats already been said
  4. you dont need weedless hooks. turn the hook 90 degrees and reinsert it into the bait. the only problem is that it somewhat kills a little bit of action when you do that to a stickbait
  5. pretty early for the lake george spawn. but dont wait for the spawn to fish it. the best fish of the year are caught before the spawn
  6. my lake thawed out a few weeks ago so i tried dead sticking and fishing jerkbaits but no luck yet
  7. sorry but i gotta stick with the classics. 1. original 3.5 inch gitzit tube 2. zoom tiny fluke/ yum houdini shad 3. zoom trick worms
  8. 1.brush hog/ game hawg 2. yum mighty bug 3. yum doozee
  9. you know the way i fish senkos isn't boring. very few people know that they were designed as a jerk bait. fish them as you would a super fluke. a lot of the times its more effective than the do nothing approach. plus it keeps you busy. ( by the way i prefer yum dingers)
  10. so you think i don't know because im younger than most of the people on this site? or are you reffering to how long ive been on the site? as for the rig ive told you what i found out so i cant answer anymore
  11. actually i think i phrased that weird. in reality for tournaments i like numbers. thats why swimbaits arent used for tournaments because they catch huge fish but dont catch a lot of fish. if i have free time im going to aim for the biggest fish in the lake
  12. why? you can fish from the shore its not hard
  13. apparently only walmart supercenters have the clearance yum baits but its worth the 20 minute drive for me. apparently im the only one who notices the giant box of yum baits at the bottom of the tackle shelves for $2.00
  14. well the reason you probably dont have good smallie lakes is because although streams are always cold lakes are affected by the weather. northern new york (where i live) is somewhat cooler than PA. if the lakes arent cold enough the fish can deal with the water if its deeper. if you use some maps you could easily find nice deep smallie lakes
  15. it depends. if i am fishing in a tournament i only really care about numbers but for fun when i have free time to waste its definitly size
  16. and no i dont have a pic
  17. its a hook tied like a dropshot with some sort of bait on it with a 2 ounce spoon 2 feet below the bait
  18. sorry force of habit thats why i answered it after because i didnt think that was enough to say
  19. its under links
  20. are you kidding me? yum has some of the greatest baits on the market. if you have any problems with the new f2 baits go to your walmart and buy out the clearance. their selling all the old yum baits for only $2.00! the yum money minnows which are usually 11.00 bucks are only 2. its freakin great. plus i can buy 4 packs of lpt dingers for the price of 1 senko pack. and its not just those. they had every single yum bait except the mighty bugs and shakalicous
  21. you know if your a trophy chaser you might want to try fishing lakes more if you have any. smallies grow faster and get bigger in lakes. i live in NY and i typically only catch 2lb bass in creeks but easily catch 4-5 pounders in my lake. plus i got lake george which provides some of the best smallie fishing in the country. lately over the past couple years little 2-3 inch storm crappie swimbaits have been working for me. if that doest work then a suspending jerkbait always works. plus the extra weight of suspending baits helps when fishing in faster or deeper creeks.
  22. its an old secret for fishing for stripers in arizona. thats why you couldn't find it
  23. its a 2 ounce spoon with an anchovie nose hooked 2 feet above the bait
  24. google it
  25. spinnerbait or lipless crank. maybe a heavy jig for deeper water
