  1. they were gycb senkos. they didnt harden like gulp does, they just got harder than usual. i still dont know what happened
  2. so i had stayed at a family members house for about a week so when i came back home hallf of my senkos where dried up and hard. my guess is that my room got hot while i was gone and the only way to cool it down is to turn on my fans, which i wasn't there to do. im letting them sit in water right now to try and soften them, and im hoping it worls. anyone else have a similar experience
  3. i honestly do undertsand that feeling you get when a fish just cant make it. i remember catching my first pike and being so excited i accidentally kept her out of the water to long, and it was a decent 10 lb. pike too. so when i wen't to release it it couldnt get its back under the water and i watched it for hours struggling until it finally rolled over and died. that was really depressing. i always feel said when i gut hook a fish and i really only keep a fish if my family asks me to, which hardly ever happens, i remember when one bass i released swam away a few feet then couldnt move anymore so i grabbed her in my canoe and put her out of her misery. it happens, you havee to accept it
  4. from waht ive heard they were brought back by popular demand from browning and improved. i personally dont like using pure fiberglass for cranking, i prefer kvds cranking rods, but we all use what we can afford
  5. well out of all the perfect plastics ive only used the caffeine shad, but i know a secret to make a fluke wiggle like a senko so i dont use it often. i like the space monkey, rage toad and anaconda for rage tail. im going to try more of the 3x elaztech this year soon
  6. my uncle once caught a 2 foot long snapper on a senko while fishing around some weeds. he had to have a friend hold its mouth shut so he could unhook it. are lake is full of turtles, and bass . i once had one bigger than i thought existed surface right next to my canoe. have me a good scare, and a good laugh for my family a few feet away
  7. ok so ive seen the lazer trokar penetraion chart and it has been bugging me which of these nameless hooks where which. so now i want to do my own test. i want to test two different types of objects though, something similar to bone and something similar to flesh. the reason is that i read about a test online where owner outpreformed in one type of material and gammie in the other. i need to know what materials to use, and how to carry out my test. i would really appreciate it if anyone elkse has done this before. im using lazer sharp, lazer trokar, mustad, owner, x-point, gamakatsu and bass pro.
  8. now i was wonderfing which of these 3 has the best plastic formula. im not talking about the baits themselves, just the plastic. i want toknow which has the best combination overall of softness, salt and durability EDIT: and also scent
  9. teach other kids my age all the knowledge ive gained in my 12 years of fishing and show them why i love it so much.
  10. the pro senko is formed like for shakey head fishing, in other words finesse fishing. the senko itself, overall works better. the senko wworks in almost all conditons while the pro-senko is designed for specific fishing
  11. i am sure it was owner. it said owner cutting point on the package. i found out that my younger cousin had left my tackle box out in the rain when i wasn't home, whcih caused the rust. did i mention i sharpened them? i always sharpen my gammies so i didn't thing it would be a problem with owners. guess in a way it was my fault. now i gotta by a new pack so i can judge them fairly.
  12. while it is personal preference, i beleive they both have their place. for almost all bass fishing scenarios a low profile baitcaster is better, but for big game like catfish, stripers, musky etc... i beleive a round baitcaster is better
  13. first off, fluoro is a lot better for flukes than mono, because it sinks it helps keep flukes from pulling out of the water when weightless. also you need atleast a 3/0-4/0 gammy or owner ewg. your 10 lb. stren mono is extremely stretchy and isnt sensitive.you need line that transmits a bite on slack line, is sensitive and isnt stretchy which all lean towards fluorocarbon
  14. i finally succumbed and bought some owner worm hooks from wally world, and i feel like i got skunked. two of the hooks tips bent over after one day on the water and two rusted up. i think buying them from walmart may have something to do with it but i dont know. any oppinons?i know that many people swear by them, but this pack sucked
  15. weightless- baby bass or arkansas shiner depending on water conditions. possibly a small 1/16th or 1/8th pegged bullet sinker for deeper or moving water
