  1. Senile, I noticed in another post that you have been out of town quite a bit lately. We had a BIG rain about 3 weeks ago ..... I think. It was bad enough it flooded my basement a little and that doesn't happen unless we have significant rain fall. I'll look back at the weather channel and see when that was.
  2. Sleep is for the winter months.
  3. I was going to paint my boat to look like a largemouth bass on the outside ........ Green w/ a black diamond shaped line.
  4. Congrats!!!! I can't wait for that day.
  5. Question for you guys ..... First off I know nothing about deer hunting or deer for that matter. Let's say by chance you don't get that buck this fall. Will his antlers grow back the same way next year? I know we'll never know for sure though because your going to bag him day 1 ... right. ;D Good Luck.
  6. They are all SWEET and would take any brand in a heart beat ..... but there has always been something about Bass Cats that have caught my eye.
  7. I don't know about a number, but the distance would definitely be noticeable. If I had to guess ........... anywhere from 10-20% :-/
  8. That episode is RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!!
  9. This has been a good thread. Lot's of people with the same experiences as me ....... and then you lucky ones : ;D. So I'll keep chuckn' and one of these days .........
  10. I am working on underwater pictures as we speak. With your clear water you should be able to take some cool pics no problem. Supposedly this camera will take pics up to 50 ft. http://www.cameras101.com/Kodak-Disposable-underwater-Cameras.html Unerwater video might cost some serious $$$$$$$$$$$$$.
  11. Thinking back ...... I can't recall catching a bass over 4 lbs (what I consider a big bass in my area) on a top water bait, excluding scum frog type baits. Yet every morning when I go out in the summer and especially this time of year, it's the first thing I grab ..... rather it be a Sammy, Spook, buzzbait, Pop-R, etc. I guess the point I am trying to make is, that for throwing topwaters as regularly as I do, I sure haven't caught many (if any) big bass on them. All other baits I throw on a consistent basis have caught numerous "big" bass for me. That is why they are in my normal arsenal. You also don't see too many people posting pics of "big" bass they caught on topwaters. There have been the exceptions though. Is seeing a two pounder slam a topwater just that exciting?? I am not trying to make an argument one way or another. It's just something that came to me last night whan I was trying to go to sleep. So what are your thoughts?? BTW - I am heading out for an hour or two before class right now. First up ......... The Sammy. : ;D ;D ;D
  12. As long as the water is not hard ... I will fish.
  13. I think what cart is trying to say is ....... This is obviously going to take A LOT of hard work. When you get done, wouldn't you rather have something function a lot better than it looks. I mean, what is the point at having a boat you can only look at??
  14. Man, I have really enjoyed reading this post and seeing the plan come together. Hope you go ahead and do it, and if you pull it off and everything is okay ..... You might have an order coming from Kansas ...... among other places I would guess. ;D ;D Also, in your model pic ....... Why would you want to get rid of the open area in the middle?? IMO that space is VERY valuable ...... I think you do as well. At least that's what you told me when I took on my project earlier this year. : When this whole thing started, I was kind of imagining something kind of like muddy's pic, but with some LBH details.
  15. I consider deep anywhere in the 10-12 ft + range. Most of the lakes I fish, the deepest it gets is 40 ft. The deepest I have ever caught a bass is 25 ft.
  16. I'm gonna guess at least $15,000
  17. I caught this last weekend ... It's tail was DRIPPING blood and even got some on me and in the boat. It has a red sore on it's side. Glenn suggested she might have had a favorite hiding spot she was a little to big for. Made sense because I caught it off a brush pile in about 18 ft of water. Now Jim has pointed out the "red sore disease". I'm not in the deep south, but could that be it?
  18. WIN with class too. These are two things my dad taught me at a very young age.
  19. Somebody can correct me if I am wrong, ... but the X96 and the 320 are the EXACT same. Lowrance owns Eagle.
  20. Triton_Mike has one of those and he has posted some images he saved a while back. Those things are VERY cool!!!!
  21. That 8 lber is shaking in his boots ......fins. Yes, be sure to snap some pics. I think it's cool to see everybody's custom set-ups.
  22. I got this at the beginning of the year. I was told it was the BEST VALUE out there. I have really liked it.
  23. #1 - 10 lbs 8 oz - Crankbait #2 - 8lbs 3 oz - Jig #3 - Quite a few 6 lber's on baits such as toads, jigs, and 10" Worms
  24. Exactly ..... they are a lot heavier. I will be in your same shoes in a couple of years ..... I hope. It's at least two years away and I am already debating the Fiberglass vs. Aluminum and what would be best for me. I generally fish small lakes here locally and an aluminum would probably suit me fine, but I would like to have a boat I could take on trips to some bigger lakes.
  25. Fiberglass boats handle wind MUCH better and are generally more stable.
