Well there goes my idea for going to day. I just went out and ran a few errands. On my way home I was like .... "ya know, the wind still isn't blowing yet." I went home and was just about to hook up the boat and it started blowing pretty good ....... Game off!!!! I think I might be sick on Wed. I am pretty sure the only cure is a day on the lake. ;D I can feel the sickness coming on now. 8-)

:-? : :-? : That's been the ongoing theme theme for me the past few weeks. I have been trying to get out and do some fall fishing, but the stupid wind won't cooperate. 15 mph is my limit with these falling water temps. As I look out my window right now I barely see a leaf moving, but I GAURANTEE it would start blowing the minute I get out there. Forecast for today says 15 mph winds with gusts over 20. And of course tomorrow is suppose to be a nice calm day .... but I don't fish on Chief's game days. 8-) Did you see the forecast for mid-week ...... highs near 80.

1, Try not to go crazy 2. Catch up on sleep. During the warmer months it's hard for me to sleep. I always feel like I am missing out on something. Very rarely do I get over 5 hours of sleep. In the winter that all changes. 8+ a night ..... 3. Before school started this semester I was converting all of my parent's and grand parent's home videos to DVD. Once school started i had to stop. It was a VERY time consuming task, but I liked doing it. I probably try to finish that. The only things fishing wise I will try to do are: 4. Build a rod rack 5. I might dabble with puring some soft plastics.

As for when to start it up ....... maybe at Spring Training to start the "trash talk" on off season moves ..... Then REALLY get it going again around the All-Star break.

No problem ...... I just hope I can participate in it next year. Word has it the Royals will have a payroll of over $50 million The rest of the league has been warned. ;D

I've just realized that I have accumulated a pretty good collection of cologne. I look at some of the older bottles that I never wore much and all I can see is all the fishing stuff I could have bought. ;D Anyways, what's your favorite cologne??? Mine seems to change from year to year and season to season. I've been wearing quite a bit of Polo Black the past year (I get tons of compliments when I wear this .... especially from ) And then it seems like I have been wearing Abercrombie Woods as my "summer" scent since I was a freshman in high school. :

This was the year of the jig for me ...... and fishing it deep. At the end of last year I was really starting to catch onto it, but then winter came. In the spring (prespawn) it seems like I can't put a crankbait down. From early summer on though, it's what I threw probably 80% of the time. It is now my go-to bait as far as # of quality bites.

IMO, 10 ft is the cut off where you should probably start thinking about slower ratio reel. It just makes life soooooooo much easier. There are those that will say it's unnecessary ..... "To just reel slower" ..... well it's not about that and I honestly don't think those people have ever fished a deep crank and if they have it probably didn't last long because of fatigue. For instance .... reeling in a DD22 with a 6+:1 reel almost feels like you are reeling in a bucket. If you are going fishing for the workout :, have at it. ;D Now reel that DD22 in with a 5:1 reel and it feels more like a big spinnerbait. In this off season I think I am going to add a 3.8:1 for deep cranks and my 5:1 will be used for shallow and medium divers.

I have used a bunch of different rods in the $100 range and IMO the Premier is by far the best. The Shimano Compre ain't bad either plus the warranty is unbeatable. Also, if you don't mind buying stuff off Ebay you can usually knock off AT LEAST 10% what you would pay retail ..... often times MUCH more.

I got the 1000 last night for $185. Not as good of a deal, but still a lot cheaper than I have seen anywhere else. My plans to add the one he had left are gone. He now has none left.

Who would you rather have the QB of your team??? I'm personally a Brady fan. He has got IT, and from what I have seen he just seems to be a better overall leader. It will be interesting to see what everyone thinks.

Know exactly what you mean. We went when each one of my buddy's turned 18, then when another one of my college buddies got married. That's it. Every time I have to go home and take a shower ... or two, or three. It disgust me when you go in there and you see "those" guys that are just WAAYYY too into it. What's the difference??? I know the Scorpion has the 4X4 SVS brake system and the Chronarch 50 Mg weighs approximately .3 oz less. Any other differences??? I have already purchased the Scorpion because of the "deal" I think I got. ($185 Brand new and free shipping) I just want to know for future reference because I usually get another reel around Christmas time. Thanks.

I have really taken a liking to (my bass too) hula grub type baits. I use the YUM Gonzo grub when I can find it and the GYCB DT Hula Grub when I can't.

IMO the lure retriever is one of those things that not many people have that they should. I finally got one this year (late spring) and it's simply amazing how effective it is. I can only recall one time it didn't work, but I blame that on the conditions. It was real windy out and I was in my two man boat. That thing gets blown all over the place. I just didn't have the paitence to mess with it in the wind for that long. I am 100% though if I would have messed with it longer I could have got it back. BTW - I have the one that is a ring with a couple hooks on it. Saved me well over $100 this year. Pretty good return on a $10 purchase.

I have that as well it like it OK. You have to have a pretty powerful computer though to run the program properly. As far as pictures go, there is a GREAT program you can download from Google (for free) ...... Picasa2.
