  1. To late.....I tried. : Hondas........................THE WORST car manufacturer ever. I hate them with a passion. You would have to pay me money to destroy one. Thats how much I hate them. ;D PLEASE explain. I am not into all the rice grinder stuff (just stupid), but I have a 1992 Honda Accord ......... a tad over 200,000 miles on it. All I do is change the oil, tires, and gas (27-30 mpg). That's all the money I have ever spent on it. I bought it when I was 16 and then about 6 months later I bought an immaculate 1990 IROC-Z28 Camaro. I drove that all through out high school. My first semester in college I decided that I really needed the extra money so I sold the Camaro. I only drove that car for basically 2 1/2 years and I bet I spent at least twice as much as I have spent on the Accord in 8 years. For just the purpose of getting from point A to B economically and worry free, I don't think there is a better car out there. You will see that "muscle" cars just become a money pit. That's fine if you have a full time job and like messing with that stuff, but as a student .... that is not what you want. Sure, when I graduate I will probably buy a newer truck or SUV (if Honda would make a V8 that's the way I would go), but no way in hell will I get rid of my Accord. I will drive that thing until it's dead and at the rate it's going, it will be another 200,000 miles at least
  2. No kidding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. That sucks. I realy like that site as well. I bet in the last couple months I have spent on average a half hour on that site a day.
  4. Most of the lakes I fish on a regular basis don't get deeper than 50 ft. The deepest I fish is around 25 ft. I have however fished a few strip pits in SE Kansas that are extremely deep. Like in a matter of 15 - 20 ft from the bank you can be in 100+ ft of water.
  5. It's always exciting to start something new, but boy will you be glad when it's over. You can have my seat .............. I'm outta here ;D ;D Finally Good Luck!!!!!
  6. http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/spdest/visitorcenters/tffc/budsharelunker/archives/index.phtml?seas=20&Submit=Go I just did about the first 5 or 6 on the list. All of them under shot and most by pretty large margins 1 lbs to 3+ lbs. I know that the calculator is just an estimate, but I am not so sure it is even that great at that. Best thing to do is buy a scale. It's a CHEAP price to pay for peace of mind.
  7. I have applied the weight calculator to SAL's in the past and it seems the weight calculator under shoots them just about everytime.
  8. No hook hanger????? Is this common in HIGH end rods??? I just don't get it. It something so simple, small, and esay to add, but it means soooooooooooooooo much in my opinion
  9. That's why I have no pictures of my dad for about the past 10 years. ;D ;D
  10. Ditto .... but I have caught 3. ;D ;D
  11. Yep, I think I have put my finger on it
  12. Now that I think back on it, I think I forgot one of the Golden Rules ...... "Don't eat the yellow snow"
  13. That sucks man. I don't think there is a magic cure for that. All I know of is liquids and sleep which is not always the easiest thing to do. I've been up all night too with some sort of stomach bug. It has been coming out both ends if you catch my drift. I have a concert to go to tonight too. > Get well soon buddy.
  14. First snow storm of the season is always fun and since I've learned to put these videos together ........... well here it is. The attempt on the jumps suck in this. First off we couldn't get the snow packed hard enough and second the "snowboard" (if that's what you want to call it) had no edges so you could not steer it plus the board didn't have the strap for your back foot. My buddy doing the boarding is from Canada and he says he has on old POS snowboard (real) he will bring back from Christmas break. So the next video should be better ;D We used to have a water ski that we sawed the back fin off, but that has disappeared. This was the first time we had done this since high school. Still fun as ever ;D
  15. Sounds EXACTLY what we got yesterday. By the end on the day there looked like there was about a 1/2" of snow, but it was all ICE. Now the snow has been falling pretty good since 12:00 or so.
  16. I like that. That's the new "Bond" car isn't it????
  17. I get maybe one email a week or so. Catalogs through the mail .............. now that's a different story. Seems like I am getting one a week. I mean come on, how many "Christmas" catalogs can there reaaly be????? Seems like I have about 100 of them. :-?
  18. Yep, Kansas City area got hit pretty hard with the ice today. Then tomorrow around noon the snow begins. I've heard anywhere from a dusting to 12" :-?
  19. I bet you had RW checking his reel collection. ;D ;D
  20. Monkey brought me one of those a few weeks ago as well.
  21. What exactly is this? I think I know but not sure Does it inclued a Truck, hitch, ski rope and a snowboard. :-? I've done that back in the high school days, but it included a Honda Accord w/ the trunk open, one guy in the trunk holding onto a rope, and an POS water ski with the fin cut off.
  22. I'm normally not a big fan of the "Japanese" look. To me it's like ..... let's get some of the most gaudy colors and put them together and somehow that becomes cool. IMO the 1st and 3rd one are awful looking. Fine reels no doubt, but real obnoxious looking. Now that 2nd one .... Wow, that thing is SWEEEEEEEEEEEETTTTTTT!!!!!
  23. Seriously now to answer the question .......... The easiest walk the dog bait would have to be the LC Sammy ... or at least that I have tried. The Zara Spook is another great walk the dog bait, but it takes a little practice to get the bait to work right.
  24. No no no muddy. You got that backwards. YOU walk something like this To LURE something like this The puppy though is a "reaction bait". The actual "hook up" and "landing" is up to you.
  25. Top 10????? Congrats. That's impressive. ;D ;D ;D
