  1. Video of the Bass Bus Mooks on their way would be cool Video would be best, but still shots of leaving your home town, or packing up the car, or whatever would also do. Just throwing out some thoughts.
  2. Like LBH, I like the seasons. About this time of year though I really start looking forward to spring. My batteries are fully recharged and I am ready to start fishing again.
  3. Just throwing out an idea here ....... Everybody who has video capabilities video tape you leaving your home, street, airport, whatever and then give them to LBH. He then could mesh them together for an intro. The end of the intro could be all of you guys coming together at the Lake. Something like .... From North, South (maybe ), East and West ...........
  4. I got it to. It is now in the trash. I wonder how they got our names??? Wierd too that we are all in the same region.
  5. All I have used so far is 12 and I think I am going to stick with that on most of my set ups, put 10 on my cranking set up, and either 6 or 8 on my finesse set up. BTW- These are all baitcasters Pound Test Breaking Strength 6 13 8 15 10 17.5 12 20 If you have the Cabela's Master Fishing Catalog ... check out page 135. They have all the numbers published there. These numbers are a tad better than Yo-Zuri's.
  6. I am going out on a limb here .... IT IS THE WORST LINE I HAVE EVER USED!!!!!!!
  7. Hmmmmmmmm ...... Muddy, I have a bone to pick with you!!!!!!!! Here I am thinking mook was the highest compliment. I mean, Muddy even says he is a member of the mook fishing team. Then a while back I received a PM from Muddy and I think the subject was something along the lines of "Hey Mook". There I was honored at the time. Even brought a tear to my eye. Noooowwwwwwww the truth comes out. I am hurt. :'( :'( :'( :'( ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
  8. Have or have had them both ....... I would take the Premier hands down!!!!!!
  9. I was wondering the same thing Muddy ........ Now I "get it". ;D ;D ; I am in for throwing some help the boss's way. This site is like a second home for many of us and home repairs cost money.
  10. Step back ...... here comes "THE BEAST"......... : ;D
  11. I have used them all. My Ratings: 1. Gamma 2. Yo-Zuri 3. Sufix Last year I was using all Yo-Zuri. I had no complaints and thought it was a good line. On one of my set-ups I experimented with other lines not really expecting to find anything better than Yo-Zuri. I tried Sufix and thought it was OK, but still didn't like it as much as Yo-Zuri. It had some slight memory issues the more I used it, but nothing too bad. Then I tried Gamma and was REAL impressed with it. Very manageable, strong, tough, and the biggest thing that jumped out at me was it's casting distance. It just seems to keep going and going. IMO it's a notch above Yo-Zuri across the board. I am switching to ALL Gamma this year except for my braid set up.
  12. Yep. Happened to me one too many times. Now everything is backed up on DVD's and I purchased on external hard drive (great buy).
  13. Getting real technical ..... You would have to subtract all the things that displace water like fish, logs, rocks, grass, docks, etc, etc, etc. All those things would increase the surface area thus making the above numbers skewed. ;D ;D ;D
  14. First off welcome!!!!! I think these line are almost complete opposites of each other ..... if that's possible. Fluro is virtually invisible, braid is very visible. Fluro sinks, braid floats. (that will effect the action and fall rate of lures) Fluro generally has quite a bit of memory, braid has zero. Fluro has stretch (the amount is debatable), braid has virtually zero Fluro is weak compared to braid, but so is every other line They both are pretty pricey though. If you can experiment on one set-up with fluro, try it out. Nothing wrong with experimenting to see what you like. Some people swear by braid, some people swear by fluro. It's all about what you want out of a line. I personally think there is a place for each of them and use them both (have one set-up with each).
  15. Couple of my Kansas compadres ........ cgs2004 and Will I've also noticed DD being gone. I remember a few months I posted something about his where abouts and I remember somebody saying something about him being reel busy with work.
  16. Most Important ..... Anyday on the water is a good day so that's the way I voted. I have different expectations for each lake I fish. I fish three lakes regularly ....... Lake 1 - Average 5-7. Many times more and many times less. My goal each time is to try to catch at least one 4+ Lake 2 - If I don't catch in the double digits it is a bad day. (99% dinks though) Lake 3 - Used to be a great #'s lake, but it has got fished and fished and fished and fished the past couple of years. The only reason I go out there anymore is because there are rumors of 10 lbs bass. If I catch two or three I am happy, but I am also usually throwing pretty big baits
  17. No you don't. I gave myself until my 21st birthday to get all the "stupid" stuff out of the way. ;D ;D Happy Birthday!!!!!!
  18. I think right around 10 years or so (When I REALLY started to get into fishing). First one was a Sedona ..... I think. It sleeps with the fishes. : In the "starting line-up" these days I have: 1 Scorpion 1000 Mg (This is brand new and I see quite a few more of these in my future) 2 Curado 200 1 Curado 200B5 1 Castaic Then I have some spinning reels that don't get much use anymore. I keep them around in case my dad, one of my buddies, or a newbie goes along with me: 2 Symetre 1 Sedona 1 Sahara
  19. LBH, It is 872,034,435 gallons of water. 223 acres X 43,560 = 10,149,480 square feet X 12' = 116,566,560 cubic ft. X 7.481 (gals per cu. ft.) = 872,034,435 gallons. Ronnie That's what I was going to say. ;D
  20. Yeah, me too. ;D
  21. Only differeneces are the length of the handle (shorter in the Scorpion) and the 4x4 SVS Braking system in the Scorpion. You can find GREAT deals on the Scorpion on ebay.
  22. http://www.snopes.com/politics/military/starbucks.asp It looks like this rumor is false. I got the above link from a Military forum and many of the members there confirmed it to be false. I figure if anybody would know, it would be them.
  23. I like it too ..... if this is true ..... NO MORE FOR ME!!!!!!!!!
  24. I just added a set up this winter for the exact same purposes. Although I haven't caught a fish with it yet, I have been very pleased with the casting ability, weight, and sensitivity. I got a Shimano Scorpion 1000 Mg (Chronarch 50 Mg) paired with a St. Croix Legend Tourney Bass rod - 6'8" M power XF tip (TBC68MXF) I haven't quite decided on what pound line, but it's going to be Gamma Copolymer in either 6 or 8 lbs test
