Lab, Golden, Chesapeake
That's the way I would go ... in that order. I have had a Golden and have a Lab right now. I pretty much view them as the same "breed" in a way. Very similar character and traits. A Golden requires a lot more maintenance with all their hair though.
I think Chesapeakes by nature don't have as strong of drive to please than the two others. I believe they are a pretty stubborn dog and therefore a little hard to train. I do think they are the strongest swimmers out of the bunch though.
ice out to 50* - Deep cranks and jigs
50*-60* Jerkbaits and lipless cranks
60* to spawn time - Jerkbaits, lipless cranks, shallow cranks targeting isolated pieces of cover
For me it seems like the magic number around here is 55* and whole lake starts waking up and it seems like you can find active fish just about anywhere.
I very rarely get hungry while fishing. Don't know why?? But the minute I am off the water, that's a different story.
I always bring about a gallon of water and my tackle bag always has a couple protein bars should I get hungry. A lot of times too I chew pistachios like most people chew sunflower seeds.
Yeah I went out in the backyard and fished the newly formed lake. Man!!!!!! I think that the most rain we have got it quite some time. I didn't catch anything in the backyard, but I am hitting the basement tonight. :-? :-[
That game was INCREDIBLE!!!!! Sorry, I can't say I am disappointed ;D ;D ;D
Acie Law is out of this world. That guy needs more pub. I like to think I follow college b-ball pretty closely especially Big 12. I had never even heard of him until the game in Lawrence. Since then I have really been paying attention. No doubt in my mind he is a first team All-American.
And then there is Kevin Durant. He gets the pub and deservedly so. I think he should be a first teamer too.
Be careful guys. I heard Long Mike has very expensive taste for beer ... Samuel Adams' Utopias at about $100 a bottle.

;D ;D ;D
Nice work Mike and a very generous offer.
To me it sounds like Wal-Mart is maybe hand picking which stores or regions to sell tackle. I know my local Wal-Mart has cut down there fishing stuff by half over the winter and when I was in there a few weeks ago an employee said they were going to cut it in half again. Sounds like other ones are actually expanding??
After much pondering I decided to go with the Curado. I went to BPS and held them both side by side and the Curado seemed a tad more solid and smooth. I am one of those people who can't choose the lesser of two options. I will drive myself crazy with the "If I would have spent X amount more" That X amount (w/in reason of course) is a small price to pay for peace of mind.
