  1. Coming from a Shimano guy ...... Team Daiwa Advantage :
  2. I forgot to ask her :-? ;D Let's see .... She is one of bigger ones out there, she obviously isn't that smart (fell for the same bait in nearly the same location two years in a row), she is promiscuous as it looked like she might have been trying to spawn on two different beds, and she has a growth/sore on her "tail". Hmmmmm reminds me of a girl I once knew. I will call her Janelle. ;D ;D
  3. Awesome!!!! Did you get a new editing program?
  4. I've got this disgusting feeling in the pit of my stomach. Things ain't looking good. I have a feeling the offense is going to be hard to watch this year.
  5. I don't believe you. Spinnerbaits don't catch bass ..... oh wait ...that's just me : Couple of beauties!!!
  6. Finesse baits for sure ...... soft plastics and jigs
  7. Discontinue??? I just found them : If they do, hopefully they will have a big sale like they did the TDZs. Are you sure they are going to discontinue them. I am not real familiar with the Daiwa line, but wouldn't that take them out of the mid range market .... ie Shimano Citica
  8. I just sold a pair of those Team Daiwa Advantage reels. One high speed and the other a 5.1. I've never seen those reels before now but they are very sweet, especially for the price. I highly recommend! Earlier this year I was looking for a cranking reel the same size a 100 Shimano. I had to "settle" for the Advantage 150P. After the first trip out with it I immediately came home and order a 153ST. I am soooooo impressed with this reel. And I am a Shimano guy. I am suprised I haven't heard much talk about it on here.
  9. When I was out earlier this week I saw some GIANT carp as well. I would hate to put an estimate on them, but I know if I hooked into one getting it in the boat would be a challenge. They looked to be about 100 lbs whales to me ;D
  10. Isn't that crazy how when you think you have a huge bass on and it turns out to be "the wrong kind ;D" you get disappointed even though that wrong kind just gave you a hell of a fight.
  11. I'll see if I can get a pic sometime later. Starting Line Up (with me every time I go fishing Shimano Scorpion 1000 Mg on St Croix Legend Tourney TBC68MXF Shimano Curado 100D on a St. Croix Premier PC70MHF Team Daiwa Advantage 153ST on a Team All Star TAS846C (braid set up) Team Daiwa Advantage 150P on a Shimano Compre Crankbait rod CPCC70MHB I hope to have all these rods replaced with G.Loomis and St. Croix customs by this time next year Reserves Curado 200B on an "old' All Star Classic WR1 Curado 200B on an "old" All Star Classic WR2
  12. Carry On - Pat Green
  13. I wish they all could be California
  14. ;D ;D That's cool
  15. Good post Pond Hopper. My parents were fairly tough on me and I got my butt chewed out more than a few times. At the time I hated it. Now that I look back at it, I wouldn't have had it any other way.
  16. That first fish is cool looking. You normally don't see bigger fish with such a pronounced black markings.
  17. My thoughts exactly
  18. Good luck. You are probably going to get 50 different answers here. : ;D I have not found a Fluro that I like. There have been many praises on here about BPS XPS Fluro so I just bought a spool mainly for c-rig leaders, but it seems pretty limp and maneagable. I might even give it shot on reel this summer. Just my $.02
  19. No clue how long she was. I rarely measure fish.
  20. Title pretty much says it all. I made it out after class for a little bit today and I saw a few females I saw cruising the other day move up. Luckily the male that was with this one was very skittish so I got one on one time with her and her alone. She went 6 lbs 8 oz. BTW- This is my best Lightninrod impression :. It's tough when your solo and want to set up the camera, tripod, timer, etc as quickly as possible to get her back in the water. :-? 4/23/2007 Then upon further inspection when I got home, this is the same fish I caught last year in nearly the same exact location. The big thing that sticks out is its growth/sore on it's tail and then if you look closely the markings are identical. It's a little hard to tell though because the picture from last year sucks. She only put on 8 oz 5/2/2006
  21. Yeah .... on top of your ears ... on your nose ... and all over your face ;D ;D I have about the dumbest burn line right now from the other day. I put on sunscreen, but I was wearing a visor. The visor covers up above my whole hairline, but it doesn't fit snuggly against my head on the corners. The very top right and left corners of the of my forehead (about an inch below my hairline) is burnt. I look like a d**n idiot ... but some might argue I look like that anyways. : ;D BTW - Sounds like a good time. Congrats to Needemp. Can't wait to see some pics.
