  1. If I am going with a buddy I usually just take 3 set ups. If I am going solo I usually take more like 6 or 7, but those extras are just pretty much duplicates of the first 3. 1. Shimano Scorpion 1000 Mg on a St Croix Legend Tournament 68MXF <----- This is combo I would pick if I could have just one. It can do it all, but I mainly use it for finesse baits. 2. Shimano Curado 100D on a soon to be Loomis IMX 844C 3. Team Daiwa Advantage 150P (5:1) on a St Croix Premier Crankbait rod
  2. Christmas Vacation
  3. OK ..... I guess I'll volunteer
  4. Where am I? : 8-) Thanks for the hard work Glenn
  5. That's some crazy stuff. Congrats
  6. I am a beer man. I keep it simple and usually switch between Coors Light and Bud Light. Currently I am on the Coors Light kick. I also enjoy Boulevard Wheat when having a burger or pizza (bar food) and Tequiza with Mexican food. Other than that you might catch me with a Vodka Tonic from time to time. I did have a Mojito for the first time this summer. That was pretty tasty.
  7. One on the top of my mind .... People that blow their leaves out into the street instead of picking them up
  8. That's some good advice. I bet you will enjoy that. Sure it will be hard and you will probably shed a few tears, but I also bet it will bring a couple smiles to your face reflecting back on all the good times. Sorry to hear about your loss
  9. I've bowled in a few leagues in the past and I bowl the same way you do with my strike ball. Never been told it's illegal.
  10. Couldn't agree with you more... Yep. Holding, carrying, firing a gun are HUGE responsibilities that a lot of adults aren't responsible enough for. I am pretty sure a 5 year old is not mature enough to handle such a responsibility.
  11. its funny you mention christmas vacation, i think ive had to see it 12 times each december since it came out ;Dstill a classic everytime i watch it Me too. One of my all time favorites
  12. Suppose to be coming my way tonight into tomorrow. Can't wait. :-/ Love the snow, hate the ice!!!!
  13. Bravo!!!!! No suprise from what I have heard that those guys would try to make it right.
  14. Football is football. I will watch, but I don't have to like it!!!!!! ;D ;D Whatever happened to this flex scheduling? Didn't the Pats/Steelers game deserve to be either the Sunday or Monday night game?
  15. We normally go to Colorado. (Garndparents, an Aunt, an Uncle, and two young nieces). The two young nieces have really made Christmas much more fun over the past 3 years. Afterall, that's what the whole "gifts" thing for Christmas is for. I just enjoy being around my family. That's what Christmas is for me these days. Usually on Christmas Eve we have a big non traditional dinner. Last year we had steaks, the year before I smoked a few slabs of ribs, etc. etc. Then after that we open the majority of our gifts at my grandparents house. Then Christmas morning it's up at 5am and over to the Aunt and Uncle's to watch the nieces wake up to the gifts Santa left them. Funny thing is he always tends to leave something for my sister and I. ;D For some reason my nieces look at my sister and I as kids still (even though we are 21 and 24). The first year they were able to talk, the girls were furious that Santa didn't leave us any gifts. One even started to cry a little. Sweet girls. Every year since Santa has left us a little something. YAY!!! ;D ;D Almost 25 years old and I still get gifts from Santa. Then about mid afternoon we have a HEATED Crazy Canasta tournament. These things are viscous and cut throat. My grandfather and I have never lost the Christmas Day tournament. That's about 10 years running. Then we usually have a more traditional Christmas Dinner.
  16. Pshhhhh .... I was thinking maybe this weekend ;D ;D ;D
  17. Ho-Hum!!!! Yawn!!!! I do that in my sleep. Of course that's what I have to do now because there is a freakn inch of ice on everything and about 20 outside. That's how things are up here : :-[ :'( Way to go man!!! You deserve that PB!!!! Congrats
  18. Yeah, that part was terrible. Even after Hatton got knocked out they were still singing that crazy "walking in a hatton wonderland" song. :-/ I admire their enthusiasm, but that booing during the anthem was REAL POOR taste.
  19. It was either the 10th or 11th. Not what I wanted, but pretty much what I expected. Hatton came out pretty strong, then Mayweather started taking control in the second half. Good fight. Mayweather is a master!!!!!! That's all there is to it.
  20. I would be up for it .... depending on what what schedule will be like. I think Bone Creek would be ideal. No HP restrictions, big enough with those with big boats and very fishable for those of us with small boats.
  21. Rock Chalk!!!!
  22. Yeah, I was gonna say I don't think teams are technically allowed to start practicing yet... I used to do the same thing. Usually a couple weeks after football was over, most of us who didn't play a winter sport had "voluntary" work outs 3 or 4 times a week that were run by upper classmen.
  23. I have also read that about DEET. The only time the bugs really bother me is while night fishing. I read Skin-so-Soft is a great bug repellent. In has worked for me so far. Plus your skin is left so silky smooth and it smells pretty good if you ask me. : ;D Not something I would wear during the day though ..... you would fry!!!!!!
  24. Your biggest and best bet is probably KCI just north of Kansas City. Then from there it's ONLY about a 3 hour drive west. I can't believe that is where they are holding this event. It's not very accessible, there is not much to do as far as "family stuff" goes, nothing special about the lake, November is not what I would call a good fishing month in KS, the list could go on.
  25. What a crappy time and place to hold this event too. Junction City, KS is far from a vacation hot spot and Milford Lake is nothing special at all.
