OK ... I guess since it's a nasty cold rainy day here I will let the cat out of the bag.
Last Christmas I was watching my 2 and 4 year old cousins. They were watching The Little Mermaid. I have to admit, there are some catchy songs in that movie. My personal favorite is Part of Your World.
:-X :-X :-X
Let me first preface this by saying I think baseball is the greatest "game" of all time. So many games with in the game and unless you are a TRUE fan of the game (not just a team, an actual fan of the game) or have ever experienced it first hand at a high level ... I think it is hard for the average person to appreciate it. No big deal. That's what makes the world go round.
Now on the other hand, I believe it was John Kruk that said "I am not an athlete. I am a baseball player."
I agree with that statement to a certain point (and I played into college). I think baseball is a sport where you don't have to necessarily be the prototypical athlete to be successful at it ... and even GREAT. That still doesn't mean you don't have to be very very skilled.
It all depends on what your definition of an athlete is.
On that note ... here is a clip of one of the greatest Olympian "athletes" of all time throwing out a first pitch ;D ;D

Carl Lewis
btw - If anybody can find that full video (the actual video) of Carl Lewis I would appreciate it. It mysteriously can't be found :-? At least not easily
I think the NFL has been entertaining so far this year (besides the Chiefs sucking ... BAD). There doesn't seem to be a "best" team out there. Should be interesting all the way to the end.
My last couple years of college I could really see a push by some professors to get away from textbooks. They actually started siding with students on the outrageous prices of text books.
Of course I still had the professors that "REQUIRED" them and were "ESSENTIAL" to your learning. All of them of course either wrote the book or had a hand in it.
Then there is the whole book buy back scam > > > ... "Oh sorry. They are using a new version next semester." Then come to find out all this new version has is a new pretty picture on the front.
I would say on average I spent around $750 on text books a semester. I can't think of one time I walked out of the book buy back with over $100.
Man am I glad to be done with that crap.
I am no expert but maybe I could suggest a couple Ray Charles songs
- Cry
- Blackjack
- You Don't Know Me
- Come Back Baby
- Drown in My Own Tears
- A Fool For You
- Here We Go Again
I am no expert in the genre by any means, but I grew up listening to Ray Charles ... a lot. My grandfather used to (and still does) constantly play Ray Charles albums. I spent a lot of time with my grandparents in my younger years and Ray Charles has stuck with me. I think he has several songs that may fit the sound you are looking for. Those are just the ones I could come up with off the top of my head.
I wish I could say that ...... unfortunately we had an aging QB lead our young team that has potential to victory. Until we get a young QB that shows some promise it's going to be hard for me to be happy.
Talk about the kiss of death. The coach knew it too, he was screaming at them for doing it. I really thought that misse point after was going to come back to get them.
Although I prefer to watch the "big dogs" fall to the "little dogs" most of the time, I was kind of hoping USC would have came back there in the end after the premature celebration. ;D ;D ;D
I also LOVE it when announcers deem the game over and then the other team starts coming back. It seems to happen more often than it should. Billy Packer was the King of that.
Lots of people I suppose.
I am not a Yankees fan by any means (in fact quite the opposite), but I think it's a shame they are going to tear down that piece of baseball history.
A few years ago I had the very same goal you did. All I wanted was the chance to wet my line where the DD's swim. Took me all of 45 minutes on Lake Fork. It was that easy. ;D
***Results not typical ;D
Beating the Chiefs is like beating UAB. Everyone does it.
Dont get too excited. My Chiefs were a little beat up from a scrimage game against a local high school team earlier this week. It went 3 OT's, but they ended up pulling it out. : :-[ :-/ :'(
I think that is the best video ever posted on here. That is really going to be nice to able to look back on that some "day". And like many people have said before me, that "day" might be sooner than you're expecting.
Great video ..... 5 stars, two thumbs up, etc, etc
I have fished there probably close to 50 times since the lake has opened. I caught one 3 or 4 years ago for a lifetime grand total of 1 smallie.
So here she is .... drum roll please .... my one and only PB smallie ........ ;D ;D
