  1. True. When I started getting hair supplies for tying flies I went to the local beauty supply and they knew exactly why I wanted the hair
  2. I personally never had a problem using 7.x ratios for deep divers, now continuing throwing those bigger/heavier baits is a sore.
  3. They work on trout, bass, and pickerel. Pick your color they all work. I prefer all black with orange dots, the black/yellow dots, and the yellow/black dots. Can't forget the Rainbow trout color! Any size. I prefer these much over the rooster tails because it takes the least amount of effort to make them spin whereas roosters blades with ride under the body and not spin.
  4. Big fan of the C21, Switched from the CX since all the places by me dropped the CX for a while and only offered C21. Haven't had a problem with it since.
  5. Geez, I guess my state is Pennsyltucky. We have more redneck/southern/hillbilly round here than all the other yank states...
  6. I would guess the blade acts as a agitator and upon closer inspection they see the skirt which looks like a slower target and refocus on that mainly. I don't use spinnerbaits much but when my wife and I do we compare strike notes and notice they stop the bait as oppose to having to set the hook like on a jig and getting past the weed guard, this would point to them using the skirt as a attack point in our experience. Do they inhale the whole thing, Don't doubt that either but it's probably less common than just the skirt.
  7. Sometimes it's better to bring a short stick so you can wrap up the braid and pull it.
  8. You can never lose of you don't play either
  9. I'm not a fan of keeping fish in tanks, it seems too limiting to me. If i would attempt it I would at the least have a pond for it to live in instead of a large tank.
  10. It's a bison
  11. Think they will be less prone to break when smacked against the gunwales
  12. Braid to Fluro is cheaper than all Fluro, something to leave into consideration
  13. Just watch out for northwest, lot of weirdos out there, I mean really weird. Like parked on the side of a dirt road standing next to their car staring into the sky waiting for a spaceship to pick them up weird. I've seen it.
  14. Tutorial part one: Look on the first page for the same subject before posting your thread, if you don't see your topic then check the second page. If you do not see the what you want to post in a recently thread then post away. I've been on forums for over 15 years, I've seen countless repetitive threads but what I've also seen with them is different people replying with different answers. The biggest problem though is when there's two threads that are the same right next to each other on the first page and someone needs to post up another exaxtly the same.
  15. It gets cold so wear a jacket
  16. Can't wait to fire on one of them. Hope it says 'peta' real big on it so I know for sure
  17. Welcome Aboard
  18. All you need to do is like the local catch and eat guys know they taste good and they will diminish
  19. I don't doubt it, my wife caught some smallies on the river here with goby imitations.
  20. I have heard one of the problems is the 'B' letter peels off the decal
  21. I use a 5000 for surf, came with a Battle Combo for $120, I've used it several times after salt and still works fine. It's a bit heavy since its an all metal body and you'll find it difficult using it for freshwater if you ever reel backward since there's no reverse pawl. All and all it's a good reel for $100
  22. Are you saying that with a st croix shirt on?
  23. I have a pair of costa 580's and a couple pairs of the berkley walmart $5 ones. It doesn't bother me if I forget the costas and wear the berkleys. They both work fine I don't think me having great acuity makes a difference in either brand/price point but who knows.
  24. Depends on the type of baitcaster and even other baitcasters that are supertuned. On a stock type of 200 size baitcaster I can throw down to 1/8oz if need be.
