  1. It's the trade-off for them having the action
  2. I grabbed a 68 special for swimming and the ultimate bluegill flat tail for jigging. Girls are just eating right now. It's up to you, I really like the face down eating look on the bluegill so I didn't want a swimmer.
  3. Have no issues with red label or invisix in 20lb. Don't use conditioner either.
  4. I have never had a chance to go out and try testing distances because I'd rather go out and fish
  5. I have the 6'6 model, it's a nice rod and I've used it for 2 years without problem but I'd rather have had a 7'
  6. Thanks! Caught her today, who says you can't jig a bluegill?
  7. Where's the ultimate bluegill?
  8. Stay within the lure rating and you'll be fine. I frequently throw 1/2oz jerkbaits with it mostly. I have the spinning version and it holds up nice against 5 lb trout.
  9. Had to bring out the yuengy
  10. I prepare for the next time to go back out
  11. I scribe the info on the bottom of the bill close to the body. I use a small electric engraver
  12. I'd be happy to just have an Academy Sports near me
  13. Avid or Champion. You don't need to pick between which brand and can have both. If you really want to stick under $225 check out the Avids. You can also go used with a Champion for under you max.
  14. Way to reach your goal! Congrats!
  15. Looks like a healthy 1.5lb bass. No worries though, personal bests only go up in time and not down. Nice work.
  16. In a pinch it works. I would rather throw a crankbait that already has black marks on it instead of ruin another one.
  17. I guess them bass don't like all your ci4 chronarchs lol
  18. Congratulations
  19. You mean scoliosis?
  20. The discount exclusion is written on the bottom of the coupon
  21. I like my CI4 models more than my FJ's, only because they are lighter. Size will determine what size line you'll use, I stick with the 6-10lb lines and stay in the 1000-3000 reel models. IMO, you don't really need to go past the stradic line since it performs great, I never felt the price jump for a sustain was worth it.
  22. Carp fight so much better than bass, I don't get disappointed when I hook into them.
  23. Welcome aboard
  24. I use lighter gear in open water, doesn't matter the species. It's more fun than heavier tackle every time.
