  1. You know how they squirm around, this one smacked up against the console and it shattered
  2. Tenn shad is a good color, caught about 20 bass in 3 days until a pickerel broke it.
  3. I use it for spinning and baitcasting main line, good cheap fluro
  4. I'm happy I'm still able to just fish
  5. What's so silly about it? I'd rather retrieve slower then retrieving faster all the time to compensate for a slower reel. Working a bait isn't the only thing to worry about, bass charging you when hooked and reeling in the slack is too.
  6. It's easier to slow down a retrieve on a faster reel than it is to speed one up on a slower reel.
  7. Those calculators aren't accurate for our area. You are closer to 4.5lbs, and around here over 4lbs is a mighty fine catch, nice work
  8. T-rig, fish it slower, stick with it.
  9. They use whatever they can to win.
  10. 'Noodly' is your preference, but it's not optimal for crankbaits. Better load up for casting and better parabolic bend for fighting. Stick with a 7' moderate fast, for 1/2 and under weights, step up to the 7' medium heavy moderate if you want more power, and get a 7' medium fast if you want to rip through some grass a little better. Personally I throw everything on the 7'MHM, squarebill, lipless, deep, shallow, wake, from a sk 1.0 to 6xd, etc
  11. I might have caught a 2lber once
  12. It's just a second light source. The best time is any time, as catt said.
  13. Just the other day I got snagged 6 times and lost 2. Lure retriever helped 4. In just two hours.
  14. So a white ice fishes better than a dx now?
  15. I have one 7'M in casting, one of my favorite rods. Who am I kidding I have a alot of favorite rods
  16. Oh there is, it get scary because you don't see any taillights in front of you. It's like a twilight zone episode
  17. As mentioned, I think you mean MLXF. I was at the same place you were with it. I ultimately chose the LTB because of how sweet croix's XF tip is and their warranty since I'm fairly hard on my gear. Glad I did since the 610MLXF is very versatile stick and use also for jerkbaits, tubes, shakeys, and senkos among the dropshot
  18. Throw a nice jig or t-rig in there
  19. Well, the wake bait is still a crankbait. I use croix medium heavy moderate rods for the throwing standard size wakebaits.
  20. Welcome 4.6 dohc
  21. One differences is that the stocked trout taste like dog food
  22. Seems like you wont be satisfied considering how much you said you liked the DX in your original post, if you absolutely loved it you won't feel the same with a champion
  23. Which one? I have two 7'ULM and one 6'ULF, they are fantastic rods, never have I wanted any more from them. With stradic ci4/stradic fj, and a sahara 1000's they are matched nicely for any UL situation.
  24. I use LC's, bps xps wakes, manns 1-. I use them anywhere I can, mainly shallow and above weeds/grass
  25. Shimano has him locked in a contract
