    It happens. Past the barb I just cut it off and wrap tape around the excess and keep fishing. My fingers are super sensative to pain, I don't think I could've ripped one out like you did.

    Somethings wrong with your hands then, the 2500CI4+ will weigh closer to any other 1000, where a 4000 CI4 will be closer to any other 2500.

    It may have been easier to write but it sure was harder to read everyone else's style. I for one am glad it is being phased out, helps to evolve and focus on other things.

    I use red label and invisx as mainlines. Haven't had a problem yet. I actually started using red label more because it's readily available, even at walmart. It's probably the best cheaper fluro out there

    You buy any stradic CI4 and that symetre/saros will feel like a brick afterwards. Put it on a rod before you buy and see what difference is compared to a symetre

    Hooksets are free A more sensative rod might not help you there, it just might make you react faster when you feel a stop that will still be a snag. With a more sensitive rod you have to learn a bit more about the increased feel, still comes down to: when in doubt set the hook!
