  1. I've always like that particular nitro setup, its also bigger. I do not like the layout of the stratos, the motor seems too underpowered.
  2. Keep them snakeheads down there
  3. Academy has a very nice pointer 100dd knockoff for the lower budget minded. http://m.academy.com/shop/pdp/h2o-xpress-8482-suspending-jerk-bait/pid-22547?deviceType=true
  4. Played in the river
  5. I've read through the hundreds of reviews and came to the conclusion that metal does fatigue and it's just a matter of time a speed clip will let one of my lures fly away. I switched over to the Spro Split SnapS and couldn't be happier
  6. Too much good stuff on the market to remember all
  7. Roughly 1 3/4" by 3 1/2" for the 20z bottle
  8. I suggest to skip buying all your reels at bps and go to ebay and grab at least a couple of lews tourney pros for around $150 or less each
  9. That's why I like the newer xtreme handles
  10. Welcome aboard!
  11. The hat did it
  12. Yeah its either one thing or another. The Croix LTs are very nice but to many people the unbalance frowned upon. You won't get that with full handle dobyns, though I've heard a lot about the split grips being top heavy too. Another thing with dobyns is they are heavier on the weight side.
  13. Speaking with some plastic background, you would inherent UV degradation more than heating to a high enough temperature. To take a simple plastic like hdpe it's melting temp is around 240°, whereas something like a black paved street could reach temps of around 125°. Though the suns rays can damage anything
  14. Better to have some than none
  15. Not yet, but there's always the basic ones
  16. Tennessee shad and deadly black illusion.
  17. Take the spool off and check the rotor nut
  18. I would keep looking around for an older model, they are being phased out and you should be able to find them really cheap. another thing is you have the 35 listed which has a big spool capacity and in turn would waste a lot of line on.
  19. So his nonconforming really means copying hipster references..
  20. Avid 6'ULF, Stradic CI4 1000, Sunline 4lb Senshi For most fun, Avid 7'ULM Or for budget, Premier 6'ULF, 6'6ULF, 7'ULM2
  21. Check out the RodBuckle systems
  22. You don't really need two rods, you don't really need glass, and please read more than just one article. I'm a huge Croix guy because they have a lot to offer. As of right now I have 1 crankbait rod that can 90% of my cranking which includes wake, shallow , squarebill, medium, and deep (up to 18ft) divers. That ranges from a Rapala DT-6 up to a Strike King 6XD. This rod is a Croix medium heavy moderate. Now they make several ones, the budget is the Mojo/Premier 7'mhm, midway are the Avid 7MHM or LT 7'8MHM. As this point I'll stop up the line. But for the most part the Mojo 7'mhm/12lb line/6.4 ratio can handle just about everything.
