  1. Get the dsr, not the syr. I have the 822dsr and a legend xtreme mlxf and I do the same job with them: Dropshot, shakey, wacky, jerkbaits (65/78), tubes, grubs, etc. Fantastic rod and very versatile.
  2. For clarification, does that sticker price include labor/guides/grip/seat/hardware/etc?
  3. More like north american made
  4. A long time ago you were able to buy them at cabelas, don't know what happened but there was a falling out.
  5. I have worked in the manufacturing sector in America for quite some time, from what I've seen the american workforce and quality has dropped to the point of not caring if my money is going to whatever country of origin the company belongs too. Quality is key, finding it abroad is easier than ashore.
  6. They must be engineers
  7. toms ford virginia 2.39
  8. The much harder fight with missing the guide answers the OP's question, with overkill LOL
  9. Say what you want about kids and phones
  10. Avid 6'9MLXF & Lews team gold carbon 2000
  11. Pointer 65/78 Dropshot Shakey Head Tubes Smaller Plastics 4" wacky Grubs
  12. Shad/bait fish colors, Matzuo Nano Cranks are my favorite
  13. Depends where you fish here. We have different rules for streams which include artificial lures only, fly fishing only, catch and release, etc. Native trout are smart, they scare easily and don't like many lures so you will have to figure out what they want. I've been good with ultralight cranks, small and medium jerkbaits, float and fly. On stockers inlines and spoons. Color was always the key too.
  14. Check out the lews team gold carbon if you want 2nd reel
  15. I suggest you call. Be mindful that I've heard that theyre hard to get a hold of at times so you might have to keep trying.
  16. I wouldn't recommend a spinning outfit for your setup. A baitcaster will be more conformable for What your requiring in weight, the action you want out of a lure, and ergonomis. They also have more options available for comfort/weight savings. The only setup I would do that on is my avid 6'8mxf & stradic ci4+ 2500. It's not comfortable if you work jerkbaits on it long.
  17. All this coming from the state that has to truck in sand for their beaches. No thanks they can keep it all.
  18. If the signal was better it wouldn't be that bad, the darn thing has a hard time keeping in contact with a finger in its way 2ft away from each other
  19. Of course it's cheating, you are breaking a rule for your benefit of an edge
  20. Go check out a your local notary, they should be available to provide you with all the info and forms you'll need for transfers. Here in PA it was a breeze for me, I didn't even need to do anything but have the numbers written out, cost (you can make up any number) and a bill of sale with the sellers name on it. But you will have to check your local regs.
  21. I use an avid 68mxf, its a softer xf tip than the LT's 6'10mxf so it'll work much better for 4" and 5".
