  1. They could have spilled oil on the carpet, that's the main reason why new carpet separates. Check for oil stains or smells in that area. Have you tried to haggle them down on price?
  2. It's the rod. Just messin', what kind of knot are you using and are you wetting it before you get it tight?
  3. Grab a quantum xtra lite combo for $40 at cabelas or dicks If you want to spend a little more money pick up a 6' croix premier ULF (F=fast) I say that because some people tend to buy the M (moderate) models and then complain that they are too wimpy.
  4. 95% of the stuff out there is overkill
  5. Last I heard, the concensus was it's not 18
  6. +1 for pants with zippered pockets
  7. I don't know, if I had a moderate action and some light fluro I'd have to set the hook into the next county.
  8. I can say the opposite. Have a Curado 301 sitting out cause I sold the musky rod it was on. Guess I'm just waiting to see if I want to have a really big bait (swimbait) rod for it some day
  9. Welcome, from down the river
  10. Find some goats, they eat it. Then all you have to do is kill the roots
  11. Bingo. wussification doesn't discriminate against gender.
  12. What did some of you guys forget about women's rights? Equality? That ain't today unless a women is a stay at home mom. Same amount of men do all the chores/family care now. But how can we really tell what's going on in marriages, considering how bad the divorce rate is every year and the reasons behind them. Far as women getting paid 75%, that's false, those statistics need to add the facts in that included more time off taken by the woman (their choice) either it be maternal, personal, or care giving. FMLA could be up to 12 weeks a year.
  13. Research any product and one clear thing comes up every time, don't ever buy the first years model. I bet it would apply to a new boat manufacturer as well.
  14. Pointer 65's and xraps
  15. Not a fan of LCs jointed stuff, it easily breaks. Stick with their solid hardbaits
  16. Probably more non bass boaters here than are.
  17. Counting all that money distracted him
  18. Oh yes, they must be all the same exact reel with a different name. Funny how people have replaced the ring in symetres and the problem goes away. And what does it matter if parts are shared along lines? If a part is bad it will go out of stock. It does not explain why they are out of stock so fast and it always is the case with the specific friction ring part. I know because I constantly check for that part and it's never in stock for long. The CI4 is not the same reel as a symetre.
  19. Wonder what that other 3% of that rod is made out of
  20. Unplug their printer. They will actually call for help wondering why it won't turn on.
  21. If that wasn't the case why is Shimano always out of stock of the friction ring for their symmetre FL 2500??
  22. Managed to find fish, most important was the quality time you two got. Can't get any better than that
  23. The problems stem from being wet, apparently a ring inside gets soaked and fattens up where the reel binds, thus calling them shimbindos, it is still a problem with several models almost 10 years from the first complaints. The symetre FL is the most current. I've had two FJ's that didn't have a problem (boat dunked in water before) at all
  24. 43lb 17oz and 3 grams
