    Well that's not a description to even say what it was, but perhaps a dying fish. Who knows what it was doing there, someone could've threw it or a bird of prey dropped it.. too many scenarios to be sure

    Ugly stiks would be better for crankbaits. Though I wouldn't judge a rod on it's breaking strength on a car/house door.

    Forget the email, call it in. I've had a problem with a guide once and called, went from the operator telling me I'd get a call back about what I needed, in about an hour I got my call back.

    Well if you tied it correctly and got it stuck on say a huge stump how easy do you think the line would snap off, much harder than a mono snap off

    I also have a hand problem, and grip problem. Made me walk away with using snaps since it was very difficult to open them. Before getting rid of them my catch rate didn't change, more hangups on millfoil and other weeds were the only problem and I wouldn't consider that a real problem.

    Thanks for the write up. Do you know if the terrova is the only TM that causes interfere or does it do it with others too?

    I'm suggesting some high visibility tape positioned at various point on your rods, I wouldn't limit myself to color brand when there's ways around it. Find the colors you can see better on the palette and match some shades you are able to focus on easier
