  1. From learning to upgrade, this time goes too fast and you'll regret it. There's not much to learn on a boat so choose wisely and ask boat owners that are close by you to help you learn about what you really looking for.
  2. Love our AC68MF, does a great job at everything
  3. Info hasn't changed for those 8 years, needs some paragraphing to ease eye strain but still a good read nonetheless.
  4. Deep, shallow, and everything in between I use a 7ft medium heavy crankbait rod. Usually spec'd to 10-20lb line, 3/8-1oz. In the $100 range there's the $90 shimano clarus crankbait mhm has a lifetime warranty. St croix mojo bass and premier crankbait rods $100-120. BPS cranking stick are a bargain when they're on sale.
  5. I don't get why they didn't do this in the beginning. Doubt I'll go back from what I've experienced and seen.
  6. You are a reality tv actor magnet, who's next bret michaels?
  7. I only bought them when they were 75% off clearance at dicks, besides that discount I wouldn't pay $5 to $10 on a few weights.
  8. Since you're looking into it but not confident into buyin one, look for a member close by that might have some to try out. In your introduction thread one member has extended the olive branch, he is a bit out west but still shows there's a good bunch of guys here.
  9. Not here they don't. Cabelas has a much bigger collection in Pa than BPS. If you want to see half the rod section filled with ugly stiks then go to BPS.
  10. I prefer anonymity.
  11. I vote for the curado 300, look for them used and they'll be around $200. Hell of a good reel
  12. No thanks. Yuck
  13. What do they build, Casting couches?
  14. Welcome aboard, there's plenty of info on here to sift around for
  15. Better than pushing a walker
  16. Home cordless tools shouldn't be used for commercial use, it's in the manuals that they are voided of any warranty. The actual commercial grade ones are available at special retailers, not box stores like Home Depot, Sears, Ace Lowes, etc. The ones in big box stores are made to wear down with plastic components, just like lawn mowers and other household items now, so you can buy more years down the road.
  17. They are sister to the craftsman 19.2. I've had the 19.2 system since it came out and had great results working with them, still do. Used them at home and in industrial environments without problem.
  18. Keep checking when they're on sale to get the best deal, happens often
  19. How bout more cheaper stuff
  20. Are you thumbing the spool at all? If so lighten up on it, eventually you might even get away with not thumbing it at all. another thing to look at is you releasing time, if you haven't tried yet, release a bit earlier and see if you're getting longer casts
  21. My bass are picky, they don't like shim e sticks. It's a shame too because I bought a bunch of them
  22. Haven't had any problems with our citica e and it's a work horse reel doing the heavy cover jobs
  23. I think it's one of the most over-hyped baits. It still catches fish but no where is it changing the game of crankbaiting like they claimed.
  24. Awesome! Bought time you found one in there! And now you know your gear works
  25. You can lip them with your thumb or pick them up behind the head (between the upper gill plate and body)
