a kayak sounds perfect for this. keep in the other stuff you need will be $100.
my b.i.l has had good luck buying used package deals off craigslist.
watch your weight if your putting in on the roof by yourself.

bass are not scientist and they don't know what is native and whats not.
it is my personal belief that their food needs to meets a few simple requirements. will it fit in my mouth?is it going to be easy to catch? do i want to put the effort into eating it?
if your bait meets those.they will eat it.
and not exactly what you asked but.... i believe a green pumpkin finesse worm will work from south Florida to Canada and California to new york; mexico, japan and south Africa as well.
i am afraid the only kind of bass boat $1500 will buy is one that needs a lot more $$$ spent on it.
now a a good jonboat is another story.
a key to remember is when you are shopping used is your buying a outboard and the hull comes second.
have you taken the prop off to check for line between prop and housing?
is the gap between you prop and the housing completely even? if its not you could have bent the armature shaft.
i just want to feel like i have earned and outsmarted the fish. i have fished truly trophies ponds and they lose their appeal to me real quick. would rather be on the lake working for it.
b-i-l tows a harbor freight trailer for a kayak with his all the time. no big deal.
tongue load is the issue with car suspension. his wife loaded it down with project stuff the other day. it was squatting hard. had to redistribute the load to get the tongue neutral to slight lift so as not bottom the suspension.
All things breaking down in water use o2.
I wonder if the limb structure of the different species of trees effect go easy it is to get your bait down in there.
have the field and stream and like it. got it for $399 on sale so dont pay full retail.
you have to put a better seat in it.
it will cost $100 more than you kayak to get on the water. paddle, lifevest, drybag, waterproof cell phone case.
get a job and earn money from someone besides your parents.
bad armature. had one on mine. it wouldn't spin if the prop stopped in a certain spot. pick it up and the prop would move a little and work again.
if you have some mechanical knowledge its not a big job. just mark and pay attention to how everything came out.
