hummingbird has put down imaging on most of there units ....they start out at about $300.00.....but a good unit to buy is the H-B 798combo with si & di but $900.00....but this thing has it all ..hot maps and all...I have a eagale fishelite 480 great dept finder ....but it's hard to find fish .....have some one take you out on the water with the new side or down imaging fish finder ......and I think you will want to save some more money to buy a good finder ...$900.00 lot of money ...but to find a #10 bass and catch her .......priceless

HB 798ci hd combo .....then you have it all..... why just get down imging ...when for another $250-300 you have it all,maps ,gps ,down and side imaging ....the 597 would be good for front of the boat ,but if had to get one it would be 798ci combo .....I seen a pic of a man under water ,you could see his body and air bubbles ....cool stuff ...have found some on line for around $850.00 ... getting mine after x-mas

drop shot ....if you are looking for 5 good bites ...and I mean good ones ....I'm new to it... but all the fish have been keepers ....not a lot of fish ...but the ones you get, are big fish ...was going to a tx one sat and it was call off ,man ....it was like getting kick in the ball's ...so I was sitting there mad at 5:00am at the lake.... all geared up for fishing a tx .... so I said to my self this is good time to learn this drop shot...I have tryed befor but with no luck ....but really ...it was like cat fishing ...I was just not in to it ,at the time ...but this day I had told my self it's drop shot or nothing for the day ...put my go to bait on ...(black grape finesse worm) by zoom ...in the water 5in and boom ...big fish right out of the gate ...ben hooking ever sence 25 30 ft of water ...it's not my main thing to fish but ...when the bite is hard to find ...go out to 20 to 25 ft use the drop shot ...but use like you mean it , and slow ....hope this help's

I fish badin lake in badin,north carolina they have about 4 to 5 tounaments week , they release lot fish in one place ,where the weight in is , I just was woundering where they go . do they go back to the area you catch them from ,or do they just set up a new home where they find more food and shade to hide .
