  1. I use size 20 for all my sm bass fishing. I have 6 Energy's and 3 Catalyst and have had no problems, I left Shimano reels six years ago because of service. I still use Shimano rods, Compre's and Crucial"s
  2. I have used Berkley Sensation 8 lb. for the last 5 years and I am very satisfied with it. I used to use trilene XL 8 lb but find the Sensation a little more abrasion resistant. Wayne
  3. That's easy, CRC-63M Shimano Crucial at 3.6 oz's!! I have a new Curado CU200e7 married to one and it is a sweet set up.
  4. I would go with the Eagle Fishmark 320 in that price range. 5" screen and 320x320 pix's, can't beat it for the price. Wayne
  5. Another vote for the H2o C ! Can use it where ever you go,boat, truck, hunting, hiking etc.. Wayne
  6. It is really not the same as hunting rutting deer but more like shooting deer in a pen. JMHO Wayne
  7. Hi I have not fished that area myself but a lot of friends do. They have lots of tourneys there, the St. John's river runs right through Fredricton and there is plenty of SM bass to catch, no LM. Do a search for nbfishing.com and the main tourny sight is nbsportfishing.ca. That will give you lots of information, it is about a 6 hour drive for me and I have plenty of water to fish in Nova Scotia. Regards; Wayne
  8. I got the Stowmaster for Christmas (great wife) and is very well made and worth the money if you are serious about fishing. I like because of the compact size in a Lowe160. JMHO
  9. I have two CPS-63M spinning rods and use them for just about everything. I mainly keep one geared for spinnerbaits and the other for tubes. I use the 68 Crucial dropshot rod for senkos but have no problem using the CPS-63m for that also. Wayne
  10. The all terrain was(is) one of the best motors they made. I used a 50AT for seven years and it as still going when I sold the boat. my brother had a 40AT on his boat for five years before he sold that boat and we never had any problems. Your wiring should be 6 gauge but probably could use 8 gauge if boat is no more than 16'. Wayne
  11. I am getting the lms 520 lowrance @ 449.00 without gps, 480x480 pixs and 2400 watt. That is a great price for that unit. Wayne
  12. My brother has one in his boat for 3 years now and it works great.Just had to get used to the trick of putting it up and down. I am going to get one this year. Wayne
  13. Always close the bail by hand, not doing so is the biggest cause of line twist. I use all spinning gear and Sensation line and never have a problem with line twist. Wayne
  14. Another vote for the Compre!! I use all Compre's and Crucial's, they are hard to beat for price and warranty (lifetime). JMHO Wayne
  15. I have a Hotfoot on my 50HP and wouldn't be without it. I fish a lot of Tournaments and when them big bassboats cut in front of you it's a lot safer being able to get off or on the throttle quick and keeping both hands on the wheel. Wayne
