Here are some baits I've painted recently, still working on making my own, so i'm using the plastic bodies as practice pieces
dam peoples, beautiful work. I have no doubt when you start making your own, that the quality will match your painting skills.

Very nice. Is that a custom mold? Also where did you get the spiral wire at? Hate to be so nosey, but I sure would like to make some. Just so darn expensive to buy.

Beautiful job John,
I've framed the two crank baits I've recieved from you in a shadow box. Hung them in my den. I will be airbrushing my first baits this weekend. I'll post some pictures soon. It's great to have such a talented gentlemen on this site. Gives all of us beginners someone to emulate. Thanks for sharing your beautiful work.

Gentlemen,
I am ready to paint my first crankbaits. What kind of paint should I be using? Need to know what kind of base, main colors and finishing coats. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
thomas
Hey John,
What gauge wire do you use for your line tie's? And what type of wire do you use? One more question if I may. Just how do you attach the end of the wire going into the plug?
thomas
John,
Sure seem's like a lot work, but that's what makes you the best. Also, I found a shop the sells Lexan plastic. They want $40.00 for a 3 ft. X 3 ft. piece. That sound about right? :-/
