  1. The Iclass is a about 8K for eclectronic dodads. The ZX225 is a weapon thats runs big water and fishes dirt shallow. I fish out of 1 for 2 seasons. Get that dealer to pull out storage lockers and show you how thw hole deck comes off. Running wires just a breeze. Garnet
  2. Redwing Tackle has ant swivals. Available all around the great lakes. They are a standard for Steelheading. Garnet
  3. Take notes before, have a tape record for during and take notes after keep good files and allways challenge yourself. Rick Clunn takes notes every 15 min. of everyday on the water. Garnet
  4. Get a Skeeter ZX and all your choices are good. Make sure you get over kill trolling motor,Charger, batterys, front and console gps/fishfinder and make this part of the deal. If these toys are not cheaper than BPS find another dealer. Buying a boat like this they will have dealer pro staff deals you get this and more. And write everything on the contract free coats, hats the correct prop for you, don't pay in full until everything is met. Garnet
  5. Consentration and focus Plus filthy rich parents, gramma,Aunt,Uncle, inlaws ect. Garnet
  6. The spinners and spoons use a short leader and swival and maybe even a snap swival and no leader if weeds are not a big problem. I like the Albright Knot and it's recommended it the Power Pro box. Garnet
  7. When I find a bait that works on a lake I feed it everyway possible. As conditions change style, wieght are what I play with most. Diffenntly in tournaments theres is no other go to bait I might bring out unless it's a lake I've fish a lot. Garnet
  8. To be fair I fish a couple lakes that muddy faded Bogs and perferr Power Pro faded. Garnet
  9. All the tubes mentioned are great. Try ISG tubes. The problem with tubes Trig is they are bulky so over size on the hook. I use Daichi copper head hooks. Garnet
  10. Having a soft enough tip rod to do that slight raise to check for a fish then slam hard on LBH vid. is my approach. Garnet

    Maps

I have everything mapping gps,Google earth, fishfinders and still need the paper map to get that over all prespective. Garnet
  12. I don't get it. If you take a permanent marker any color and redo your Power Pro the color stays. Look in your Power Pro box it will show Albright Knot for tying leaders for those open water Smallies. No need to take the Power Pro off. If you do take your braid off put it on old spool, or wrap it on a piece of cardboard. Garnet
  13. I always found it better to drain 1 battery then hook up the second. This will permenantly damage your batterys if you constantly do this. But you will have more battery each day. Garnet
  14. Champlain would be Third...........not enough big fish Erie is a close second................ lots of #'s Lake Simcoe Ont................#1 A fish under 4lbs is just another fish,7lb smallies almost every tourney. Eastern Division will be on this lake 2009. Garnet
  15. Bobber Stop, Stainless Bead, Tugston Wieght, Glass Bead Yellowish Orange and then Hook. If you want a pegged sinker slid the bobber stop tight. If you want rattles move your bobber stop a little. If you want your plastic chasing the worm wieght move it up 5-6 inches. I use this system on 1/8 to 1.5 the most important thing is instant adjustment. Garnet
  16. I didn't sleep for a week after watching the first vid. Buddy's been telling me about the show. Garnet
  17. It might be a little over the top. I bought the minnow head mould so I could get 1/4 and 3/16 heads and still stay with the crappie/perch size hooks. I use for steelheading and Crappie/perch fishing. Garnet
  18. Get a piece of 1x3 spruce longer than the hieght of your xducer. Install xduser at end then buy a C clamp and use to clamp board to transom. Buy some of those plastic cable holder things to mange your cable. I used this system for years and had no problems. Garnet
  19. I watch the Australia Fishing Championships on WFN TV here in Canada. The bass fishing looks cool and I'd like to try Brim fishing. Not many boats to beat in these tournaments. Garnet
  20. Lots of people using yellow Power Pro when fishing grass and winning tournaments. Easier to see in some light conditions. Garnet
  21. Know ticky no worky...........check plug carefully for crud and inspect cable for breaks. Did you touch any buttons, you can shut the xduser off. If you find a crush zone I would try splicing cable, sometimes works great other times not so. Garnet
  22. Back in the day 15 years ago I said to sweet pea. "want to go to Branson and see some shows?" Never missed a beat "isn't that were the BPs is" 27 hrs we were there. Now BPS is about 1 hr. Garnet
  23. Sounds like no or little weed so I would go with that 6-6 med. The other thing I would use is a very small swival above your bait. Redwing Tackle has 30 lb ant swivals that are for Steelheading work great. Garnet
  24. If I'm just fun fishing I usaully fish for gaints. I can get distracted looking at houses, birds, dock birds just enjoying the day. If I'm working towards a tourny I am looking for patterns and spots. When it's game day I'm focus and bring out my "A" game. I see lots of guys that only have "A" game they can't separate game day and fun day. Garnet
  25. Jay Yelas won his Bassmasters Classic rite near a dam with wicked current fishing trees to break the current. Largies like all fish relate to current. Some just relate to faster current. Salmon and Stealhead main current and then walleyes in the main current but behind something then Smallies around the edges behind things and just in front theres a slack water spot. Current is also fast on top and can be still down deep or near still. Then brown trout love the slack water between your feet and the edge of the current. Then largies will be along the banks as close to slack water as possible. If you were to fish the current edge and breaks you may never know largies are in your creek or river. This is just general river rule theres lots of in my creek it happens this way. Most of the creeks and rivers that run into the great lakes have all these species and a few more carp, perch, crappie, sheeps head, pike and you have to fish the creek/river for that species likes or you may never catch one.
