  1. You should expect to see one of the prettiest lakes around! I love to look at all the beautiful homes around the lake! Good luck!
  2. I love my LTB. I got it in the spinning model for dropshots. When I buy a new rod again it will be a LTB. Now saying that if you like the less expensive rods then stick with those and spend the money elsewhere!
  3. I enjoy buying reels but when it is time to fish the rod is my favorite part. Reels are just fun to play with...
  4. Glad you're ok. It is amazing how a fish can spit one out in a heartbeat but we get one hook in us and before you know it you have six hooks in you! I know rapala shad rap 2010....
  5. It should be on about now here. We had that major cold front come thru last weekend so as the weather stabled out this week it should put them in the mood. Well find out this weekend!
  6. That's awesome! Great job!
  7. Congrats!
  8. Thanks, I am not military but I have several friends who are and my family supports as much as we can. The contest was fun because I had my 15 year old son and wife researching for over a half hour trying to figure it out and in the process we got to see some awesome memorials and statues from around the world. Not a bad way to spend a Saturday evening! Thanks again!

  10. Cranking!
  11. I beat my dt fat03 up and they work perfectly!
  12. Cold front is going through right now. Going tomorrow air temps will be high 20's for the low to the mid 50's for the high. So we will see!
  13. I better go out and buy some of my favorite colors before they are gone!
  14. Warmouth! The green fish love this color also!
  15. All I will say is Dwight, A-jay and speed bead have always been very helpful and repectful to myself and everyone on here! Quick thought though, I can't believe how warm the water is still! Went to my local lake and it was still 68-70! Thought the water would be cooler by now! I am thinking about going up to Erie at the end of October but we will see!
  16. Glad to hear you are ok! Last year on Erie I was coming back towards presque isle and was navigating 4-5 footers and for some reason let my guard down for a split second and BAM! Destroyed my trolling motor and full of water. Thankfully my ranger just kept going and was able to make it back. One thing I think would help other people is to carry a spare bilge pump with a hose and alligator clips so if they take on too much water and their pump can't handle it or goes down you can quickly hook this up and get rid of the excess water.
  17. Well thank you for all the posts! I have realized throughout reading them that I need to focus on fishing for bigger fish! It seems that a lot of you think a 6-7 lb Largie is somewhat common, also I think if we set the threshold at 6# for smallies and 8-10# for largemouth I will have a lot of smallmouth on the wall!
  18. Nice!
  19. I see you are from the lake st.clair area. Try a 3 inch senko wacky rigged on a drop shot!
  20. I have caught alot of fish on that hook! I am a believer!
  21. Weird! Probably got frost bite!...lol...
  22. Weed lines will produce a ton of fish on a spinnerbait. Plus don't rule out timber! I fished on Kerr lake one year and was pitching my spinnerbait back into the brush and easing it through and caught a ton!
