  1. My source for marine grade plywood in Ohio is about 50.00. Its worth the investment at that price IMO.
  2. Okay so it does sound kind of funny and it did not blow out of my boat nor the neighbors boat. Just lying in the road and I am not in a lake community. I have never seen this diamond pattern on any soft plastic.
  3. Please identify if possible. http://s1073.photobucket.com/user/snyder1924/library/Mobile%20Uploads?sort=3&page=1 Thank you in advance. I did not purchase this lizard but rather found it at the end of my drive last year. It has a nice feel to it and would like to try a pack.
  4. Can someone identify this lizard Please. found it in the street in front of my house and it has a nice feel.. thanks in advance
  5. Does a snell knot work on a worm hook. Tried on Sunday and missed a few fish. Don't do a lot of flipping but am going to try and do more this year and was practicing with the knot. Maybe a worm hook is better pulled straight
  6. I have mostly max series. Not sure the endurance is worth the extra dollars. Max is a great bang for the buck Imo
  7. Try toads also. Rage and warrior are my favorites. Ribbits also are good but a bit heavier. Steady retrieve similar to a buzz bait. When they strike freeze until you feel weight on the line or start to see your line move. I like them much better in the slop and my hook up ratio is assomely better.
  8. My vote is for the stradic. no problems with line twist for me.
  9. On the water today with my new unit and am having difficulties getting the side imaging to work. I think I need to specify the proper transducer. Anyone on know which on I should choose. FYI. The instruction book wS left in the garage. Oh boy.
  10. I have an opportunity to create some cover in my honey hole. 18 utility poles can be sunk and am looking for creative to do so in an environmentally friendly way. the lake is only about 20 acres in size and ranges from two to 16 foot in depth. I am assuming that they will float when I drag them into the water but not sure how much weight would be needed to sink them. Can anyone share their experience and knowledge on this subject.
  11. Getting ready to buy and SD card for my HDS7. Are there any specifics I should be aware of? Size? Speed? Manufacture?
  12. Keep and enjoy your higher end rods. I personally can't make myself take a financial hit to get rid of an expensive rod with a lifetime warranty. There are a lot of very good "bang for the buck" rods out there in the 100 to 200 dollar price range. Add them as you can and seek advise hear before your purchase.
  13. Curious as to how efficient this set up is. Do the weights stay on the hooks after the worm gets destroyed or fall in the drink leaving only an expensive hook? Also do the round worm ring weights also have slots for hooks?
  14. Upgraded my electronics to an HDS-7 and am wondering if the trolling motor is the best place for a portable mounting position of the side scan transducer. I fish from a small boat and the units need to be removable at the end of the day. How does the movement of the motor head effect the operation of the unit? I will mount the unit on a portable transducer/LCR mount http://www.basspro.com/Sully-Transducer-LCR-Mount/product/10200397/ with the 83/200 transducer. I would like to keep them both together on the portable mount for ease of safe transport and storage just not sure of fabrication to mount due to the size of the lss-2 transducer. Thoughts? This bracket was sturdy with the smaller unit. I generally mount the bracket on the starboard gunnel about the center of the boat.
  15. I feel I get fewer line twist with the Shirmano spinning reels but I also really like my supreme 30. I just think the other spinning reels control line twist more.
