  1. I do this also did it with my ocean kayak big game and now with my ATAK. I cut it I half put one section on the roof set kayak on it then pick up the back end and walk to the truck. The kayak rolls ontop of the noodle to the front Then I just out one under the back end and ratchet her down
  2. Another thing to consider also is the seat on the ATAK can slide back and forth to position yourself in the kayak for best balance.
  3. If allready looking at the big rig look into a wilderness systems ATAK. I put some pretty big guys out on one during a demo event that all loved it. It's rated at 550lb capacity also.
  4. My cousin lives there and works at universal studios and two of her good friends were there one was killed the other is in critical condition.
  5. It's been an addiction I've been kayak bass fishing for going on 4 years now. I had a big game prowler sold that when I got picked up by the wildy pro staff team and ordered the ATAK.
  6. Look for a wilderness systems ride 115 or 135. Great stable boats easily can stand in them but once standing foot room is a little limited. If you can find a good sale or one used check out the wilderness ATAK you can definitely stand in it and move around quite a bit the thing is a floating dock.
  7. Got my new kayak this weekend since I've been picked up by the wildy team to rep in WNY. Went with the ATAK in sonar tested it out today in 20mph winds with 35mph gusts. Didn't handle to bad at all I love it.
  8. I get my ATAK tomorrow but when I was working paddlefest I was paddling the ride 115 max angler and an ATAK with some customers asking how the seat worked but didn't want to try it on the water but wanted to know if it can be done. I changed from hi to low to recline all while seated and also by standing up turning around making the adjustment and then sitting back down.
  9. I want to say the one I worked was like 15% off. the seat reminds me of like a beach chair or turkey blind chair. It's wide and comfortable. You definitely won't be disappointed in the kayak all together though. The one we had was colored pretty slick to green and red swirl with bright orange bungees.
  10. Don't own one but I demoed one a few weeks ago when working paddlefest and they are awesome little budget kayaks. I stood up in it shook it side to side couldn't tip it. Put potential customers in it told them the same they all tested it and loved it. I'm considering one for a back up or loaner for my buddies that want to tag along.
  11. Ride 115 is a great river boat. I'm about to buy one as a back up/loaner/river boat. I'm waiting for my ATAK at the moment which I'll use on some of the rivers by me.
  12. The tarpon 120 is a sweet boat I was demoing one last weekend along with a tarpon 100 and the new 130x
  13. Pretty impressive to knock it out in under an hour. I did cross fit for a few months not my cup of tea but I'm with blue I would die from 300 squats then running another mile. Those who don't know who Michael Murphy is read or watch lone survivor better to read it though as it goes much more in depth about him then the movie has time to. There's also a documentary about him as well I believe.
  14. Depending on your budget exactly I would look into a perception pescador 100 or 120. Great little budget kayak about 50lbs so easily car topped and carried to launch site. Tracks well and is stable enough to stand on and fish as well. They were selling at paddle fest the other week for 705 for the 120 and 640 for the 100.
  15. The sound of silence - disturbed
  16. I've wanted one for years but cannot afford one. Back in college my buddy had a 89 we beat the living snot out of rock climbing and mudding. I used to to have a 97 tercel coupe with the 5 speed and a set of 245 cooler weather masters on it. Car got 40mpg and went threw the same mud all the wheelers did. I wish I still had the pic from when I drove it up the creek and parked it got out and was fishing for salmon while standing on the trunk lid.
  17. Gone be doing your type of stuff soon possibly in the morning. I've been pulling wire all week just small stuff but we gotta go from the pump house out to the manifolds this week. Then it's wiring and programming each interactive.
  18. Going to school for auto motive with 4 months dedicated to building engines I used to take all kinds of itty bitty measurements. I have a project waiting for me back in the shop that are picky about a fiberglass part being 1/32 off that's my tolerance. Today we we had a temp get mad. Our shipment of parts came in and I had requested some shirts with the company were contracted with logo on it. They sent us shirts hats and hoodies. He was asking where his was. Our reply was he's a temp for one and he's never on time
  19. The temp quit because we were to hard on him......
  20. Muzzle awareness non existent. Every year we do our live fire ranges with guys infront of others with live rounds going down range and muzzle awareness is always drilled into our brains walk crawl run phases in dry, blank, live fires so you do it about 9 times at the minimum before the exercise is over. We we had a close call before our deployment on a night time "blank" run being dark the ammo point couldn't see the ammo or something couldn't feel the projectile or the weight difference from live to blank. Gave our 240 gunner a belt of live 7.62 ball for his 240 lined up to do a test fire of the belt fed weapons. One of the safety's took some shrapnel of the blank adapter as a 6-8rnd burst went down range. I wsnt ant on the line at the time but was in the chute to go shortly and remember hearing the rounds go and all of us stopped and knew live shots were fired and it was about to be a very long night.
  21. I wish we had upland birds to hunt in NY populations are so low but I do feel pheasants are on the rise I've seen 6 so far this year 3 hens and 3 roosters and always alone in different areas no near each other. Hoping they are making a come back I kill enough fox in my one property to help the pheasants and I know the owner says he's been seeing more also so I like to think it's helping.
  22. True state fb ive fished with him and gotten texts at 2am he swears like a sailor and so do I also being from western New York and a infantryman I use the F word like a coma lol. But I to don't get sensored on here I do have words get changed every once in a while though but not often.
  23. KNB Burhring ..... Lol
  24. I hated Burhring we did our EIB there. I got to fish while at KNB so it wasn't to bad. The summer heat is brutal I arrived this time of the year last week actually was 3 years from when I got there. 7 days and a wake up is awesome feeling knowing it's the home stretch most gear has already left on the slow boat connex at this point and your just doing briefings about what you can and cannot take back to the states.
