  1. congrats
  2. I don't mind becoming my dad we both are mechanics as well on top of everything else. I think the thing I fear most is his health issues though he has been beating the odds the doctors give him I just hope to not have to play the odds as he is. I just think its interesting we both fish the same, same taste in cars, music, our jobs, hobbies everything.
  3. Does anyone else dread this? not saying my dads a bad guy but been sitting back looking at my recent life events unfold and cant help but notice I'm turning into my father. We both LOVE to fish and we look alike though I didn't get his height I'm 5'9 hes 6'5. But then there's the other things really sticking out to me we both will be divorced the same ages him from my mom at the same age I am now. His also came right when he got out of the Air Force and I'm getting out of the Army as well this year. He divorced and left the military to drive truck guess what I'm gonna do when back state side....yup gonna drive big rigs like he did. It seems crazy how my life is unfolding exactly like his minus the health issues so far I still stand the only person in my family both sides to not have diabetes or cancer by age 21 iv made it to 26 so far knock on wood I have been healthy for the most part. I kinda fear though becoming him as it seems I am he hasn't remarried since my mother 25 years ago and his health is sadly in the crapper for lack of a better term. He had his first heart attack at 36 and its been a rapid downhill battle since. I'm hoping to continue to beat the health issues though the rest I don't know about. any one else fear becoming there parents or have already become them
  4. try being a skins fan never used to make it known now I don't mind saying I'm a skins fan
  5. sounds good, I lost my "natural" insulation here I'm down 45lbs. its cold here now too droping into the 40s and 50s i still rock t shirt and shorts to kinda acclimate so not as big of a shock once home. Hows the weather been back home gonna have early ice?
  6. I hate the holidays always have but I do have a few traditions I guess I usually start the morning out with trying to kill some deer thus resulting to me showing up late and covered in blood haha. Then I eat some of my moms stuffing demand she saves the left overs for me and split because once again I hate all holidays.
  7. I was excited for ice fishing till the other morning when I left to get chow and I was freezing teeth chattering I was so cold it was a meek 60* out and I went back to get a hoodie and beenie I was frozen lol. If I do go out im gonna be wearing like 10 layers with them heat packs taped all over my body lol.
  8. I cant put the jig down its my go to iv gotten good at it even here in Kuwait I have a bass jig like that one and am throwing it catching grouper. One of the guys in my platoon seen my last grouper with a jig in its mouth and asked if I ever throw anything other then a jig lol and nope I really don't at least not very long. Used to be the fluke now now its the jig and im fine with that
  9. I'm going with GSP we watched te beginning of the first fight during chow but had to leave with like a minute left in the 2nd round. Te fights will be over by the time my shift ends.
  10. Hey now I got 2 first names actually 3 but I don't make my middle name known. I get asked all the time if George is really my last name lol and it is pronounced George or Jorge like I'm Mexican. Now Robert did he win it or buy it after the little scuffle Gordon just had on the track . Me I was always a Mark Martin fan he drove that car extra hard.......lets see how many make the connection lol
  11. I have 2 new in the packs Hostess Twinkies ( soon to be unavailable ) that I will sacrifice for $100.00 and that is shipped to your door. If they dont sell soon I may have to put them on ebay. Sorry no pictures because that may revile the location of the twinkies. First "I'll take it " gets them. Sorry no trades at this time.
  12. It has kicked my arse lol. I got back from shift today knee wasn't hurting to bad but I sat down to just sit for 5 minutes I passed out for 5 hours lol even now just waking up from the nap a little while ago I'm dozing off and my left foot is killing me like the arch. As far as muscles go and such I feel great im not sore at all its just the foot and the knee a tiny bit. I'v been doing the Insanity exercise since August so that's conditioned my muscles on top of lifting as well. It will all come to a end for a bit in 22 days when I get home and get some Canadian beer in me.
  13. dont kid your self the world record is in NY and I'm gonna catch it.................ah ok thats my funny for the day
  14. The tribs are great as also mentioned. The two I have listed under my name are great I seen some where the oak was rated like 4th best trout destination in north America. In the fall and spring it's not uncommon to see 100 plus vehicals parked to fish the dam of oak orchard I think the farthest Iv met some one from there was a group of guys from Arizona made the trip. Johnsons is just as good but over shadowed by the oak but there less then 4 miles apart in many spots.
  15. I hope so for ur sake man twilight that's rough lol you couldent pay me to watch it lol
  16. That's usually my thought as well lol I hate running. I woke up this morning throbing my knee feels like some one smashed them with a baseball bat haha.
  17. I guess its normally done in Washington DC but there are shadow runs all over for it. Well today I was woken up 10 minutes into my nap and told we had a mandatory platoon run at 1630 which was only an hour away from when I had just been woken up. So pretty mad and angry as I also found out I had to go do a full serial number run down of everything in the trucks and I lost my day off tomorrow and now a platoon run that would be 4-7 miles I wasn't a happy camper. Now I hate running with a passion I suck at it kinda lol I wend to sand bag because I hate doing it. So we all went out to do our platoon run which was gonna be just at our pace but our PSG's route which was 7 miles. I was doing pretty good actually towards the front of the pack running with the 2 team leaders in my squad. About at the id say 5.5- 6mi mark our PSG was going by us on his way back after the turn around on the north pier and told my team leader once we he hits the finish line if he does the 5k route continuing on he could get his army 10 miler shirt. Well I was feeling pretty good at this point and decided hey I want another t shirt d**n it lol. We crossed the finish line for the first 7 and kept on going grabbing water on the fly and ran the 5k route. I finished the 10 mile mark at 1 hour 29 minutes not so shabby for a former fat guy who couldn't even run 2 miles with out puking every 1/4 mile lol. I did the full 10 miles with out stopping once or puking I feel like I'm 90 years old now my bones and joints hurt but its worth it I can say iv done the 10 miler. It felt weird to during the run especially the last 3 miles my whole body was numb like couldn't feel anything just kept moving and at a good pace 1 hour 29 minutes is what like a steady 9 minute mile pace not to shabby but soon as I crossed the 10 mile mark and stopped this wave like hit me my whole body just went prickly numb like when your arm falls asleep it was crazy. Thats the farthest I have ever ran in my life iv done farther ruck marches but to run that's the farthest ever prior to tonight it was the 5 mile eagle run in basic 5 years ago. Has anyone else done the army 10 miler? there is a half marathon in 2 days they asked if I wanted to do but idk I know I could I could of tonight if I hadn't stopped I was feeling fine and could have kept going for 3 more no problem it was the stop at the finish of 10 that did me in.
  18. An old man was asked, "At your ripe old age, what do you prefer to get - Parkinson's or Alzheimer's?" The wise one answered, "Definitely Parkinson's. Better to spill half an ounce of Jack Daniels, than to forget where you keep the bottle!!"
  19. Im sure there was a lot of editing and cleaning done to "sell" it you break stuff doing them tests and beating on it. Our pulling engines barely get a mile put on them in a year and there top dollar machines every season get torn down and the look like they have been threw hell and back. Even engines the students run in the shop never see the road maybe get 4 hrs of run time they still get carboned up and need a cleaning.
  20. probably the #5 plug its a very very very common problem with the 5.4 tritons no joking I probably did 7 or 8 a week when I wrenched. Something bout them 5.4's nd towing the blow the spark plug right out of the head or worse we had a fleet of maybe 10 lumber yard trucks all had that engine or the 7.3 power choke I dont think a day went by i want under the hood of one of them fords.
  21. I have a Ford though I like Dodge the best when it comes to trucks and suv's with the exception of the Toyota tundra now if I could slap a cummins in a tundra that would be sweet. My sister works at Ford though so we get good deals and Dodge trucks as with the Toyotas are pricey.
