  1. Any one fish these? I have about 20 or so pre rigged ones with the weights already in them. I got them as a bonus in with one of the revos I ordered of eBay. I'm not even sure that's that thy are but I just scoured TW and they look like the huddle bug I'm 99% sure that's what they are. They look very promising think they may be a river small favorite this year for me.
  2. My brother in law does roofing it's who is getting me into it. I have no interest in school and Washington cut tuition assistance for vets so.....
  3. Iv been on the waiting list for state corrections for 3 years now..........scored a 93% on the test passed all the evals and every other hoop to jump threw but I'm still waiting and try keep closing prisons down and cutting everything. Right now I'm waiting on mother nature soon as weather breaks I go to work on the roof doing commercial roofing for the union but can't do it with this screwy weather.
  4. Yes I'm well aware of that but this TA and everythin else is a bit ridiculous **** on service members just so you can help people who are to lazy to do anything for them selves.
  5. I'd fish with him and Ike in the same boat it would be a blast
  6. Well I already have uncontested divorce papers signed and everything worked out just waiting for her to come up with the money cuz I'm not paying for her cheating iv got the boys it's all I wante out of it.
  7. It is tough that's for sure
  8. Mine at this point is to fish in above freezing temps! With no snow in the forecast
  9. 700rnds of ammo is a lot in my opinion I love to plink with my 22 and it would last me a good while but all my rifles are single shot or bolt action kinda hard to get trigger happy with.
  10. The super slick power pro or old kind
  11. If I didnt have custody of my boys I'd go active but having custody changed everything but I'd rather have my boys it's not often the father gets custody.
  12. The kids are why I'm not putting my name in to go on another deployment. But re upping isn't like I'm gonna be gone all the time we may not deploy again in the next 6 years but I'm gonna stay in for 20 if I re up this time it would give me 12 of the 20 needed.
  13. So I was all for re enlisting for an additional 6 more years in the guard but I'm starting to second guess my self. Iv weighed out the pros and cons but it seems like the cons are starting to greatly out weight the pros. Here is some of the things iv come up with Pros: Continue to serve my country Almost certain to make Sgt within the year $10,000 sign on bonus That much closer to a retirement from the guard I do enjoy being a grunt Cons: I hate being a grunt lol Pay is always being cut and screwed up Uncertain drills with these funding cuts Gets in the way of life some times Deployments are uncertain at this point and I would gladly deploy again, if I hadn't just gotten custody of my kids I would be doing everything I can to jump right back into another deployment. Even still it's a 4 year rotation so if there is still something in 4 years I could go. They are screwing me over right now on my pay again and iv followed my chain of command and am getting no where but basically drilling for free now because they are taking money for things I signed to be canceled but are still taking out of my pay. Then they are also taking money because they changed the status of where I was deployed while there an paid me for hostile fire now want it back which yes there was no hostile fire but don't pay me for it then months later want it back. It's the issues with washington that is really making me second guess this and I don't mean to go political but it's a huge part of why I get jerked around the reason all vets and current service members do. They say there gonna give me 10,000 for a 6year paid on my anniversary date which is February next year but from my experience they can and will charge me for some thing or just flat out change there minds and say no after iv signed. What do you guys think? I mean I can deal with stupid people in my unit but not stupid people in Washington.
  14. Yeah we had 65* last sunday 3 days later in the teens. Im not only waiting to fish but also start work this weather needs to go.
  15. Yeah the zebra mussels here are crazy try are even in the rivers I fish also it's a total PITA you can't wade barefoot or even in sandles they do clear the water up though.
  16. I'm seeing alot more ammo lately but its all varmint stuff actually had a harder time before all this to get my 243 ammo only 2 shops carried 58gr superformance now every store and shop I go to has had 10 boxes or more of it it's just a bit more now 29.99 compared to 23.99 what I used to pay.
  17. Please..... Were not even hitting 40 for a high
  18. I did the same thing with my son drive around looking for iced out spots to fish. Iv been out 3 times this year one of them being that 65* day we had last sunday I got a northern and a brown trout. The two times since I just froze my arse off. I'm so sick of this weather it's so depressing.
  19. It would nice if mother nature would just get off the rag and give us nice weather were over due for and I wouldent have to worry bout my line freezing.
  20. I'm coming to realize braid isn't the best for cold temps. The last 2 times I went out it was a bit chilly to say the least. My line was freezing mid cast and on retrieve. It was also freezing my line guides and the reel itself the bail had a giant gob of ice plus the spool was froze. Should I re spool my reel now would the ice degrade my line? Iv only had it out three times two of them in freezing temps. It's suffix 832 20% that I have spooled.
  21. A lot of it depends on which DSG and location I guess on the knowledge and selection. If I go to Rochester the DSG stores suck the employees are trained monkeys and no selection. If I go to Buffalo in the big mall they have tons it's a bigger store then most(2 floors) they have tons of selection and there is always a guy at the counter with the nicer reels and he will talk bass fishing for ever with you I know cuz I ticked off my ex wife standing there talking bout fishing lake Erie for like a hour and a half and then left with the guys card and a offer to go fishing and try some of his home made spinners.
  22. It's windy again today and I'm debating taking my kayak out for the first time but where I'm going it's protected from the wind well after about a 400m paddle. Idk of I'm gonna take any gear but just get out and learn the yak.
  23. Ah the good ole days I think that was the best part about turning 16 do you know how hard it is to drag a deer with a Mt. Bike or all that fishing gear.
  24. I was playing with my STX yesterday haven't been able to fish it yet but just practiced flipping and pitching with it on my new villain rod. Just messing around in the yard I loved it super smooth and light. I'm hoping to fish with it tonight or this weekend but the weather isn't looking to promising.
  25. Wind sent me home yesterday but it was bank fishing. 16* after the wind chill and I was watching my braid actually freeze during the cast so we packed up. I'll be kayak fishing mostly this season on the smaller lakes and bays on lake Ontario. Iv had the canoe out in some windy conditions it was mostly a pain in the arse to keep it where I wanted I usually would paddle past the spot and let the wind drift me into position.
